How many wins for PSU?

How many years does it usually take the NCAA to implement one of these recommendations?

I'm guessing 2 for FCS playoff expansion. To even go there, it probably requires a Management Council (hope I get these subcommittee names right) recommendation in January and council and Board of Directors passage in April. That's the normal process.

Summary: good for speculation right now, not much else. "The bureacratic mentality is the only constant in the universe."

Thanks for the update.

How many teams are in the recommendation?

I voted for 8 assuming this was just for regular season. I think PSU will lose to McNeese, SDSU, and Montana. I also foresee PSU hosting and winning a first round playoff game only to fall in the second round on the road.

Second thoughts on expansion of playoffs:

If things go as hoped the Vikings can make the playoffs without expansion but if we have double the numbers of teams chances of a HOME playoff game increase astronomically.

If PSU makes the playoffs i think the season can be considered a success. To get an at large berth they must beat Mcneese who will hopefully make the playoffs.
Also if we beat UC Davis and Davis beats North Dakota state that is good for the viks as well.

I could see the viks getting an atlarge berth and winning the first game but not the second.

Why do you think we need to beat McNeese to get an at large? Don't you think an 8-3 record with losses @McNeese, @UM, and @SDSU would get PSU in?

If we are 2nd in the BSC we get in no doubt. I agree with you there.

We were second last year and didn't get in. Granted we were tied; but what is for sure is a win in Lake Charles will go a long way to getting us a great season and a playoff berth.

We win all of our games this year. I just can't comprehend any other scenario. Just the thought of me predicting a Vik loss makes me want to vomit.
