I had a dream...

ok, it was more like a day-dream that Joe Glenn came back to UNC after one more season at Wyo. I know it's far-fetched but anyone can dream. I think Joe will be given one more season at Wyo and if it's not a winning season and he doesn't go to a bowl game, he'll be fired. He's on the hot seat now. Downings contract is up after next year so it would be perfect timing. Joe can spend his last two or three years of coaching where his success really all started for him. The old true blue'rs would really love it. I am not saying I want Downing to not succeed here but if he doesn't win next year, who knows? Ahh...one can dream!

How about if Lubick came here? Then that old lady could donate 25 million to us instead of CSU and the kicker is she's a UNC alum! Ouch, that one hurts...

I wondered how long it was going to take someone to bring Lubick's name up here.

As for Ms. Stryker, did you know her official spokesman is one Al Yates? As in, former CSU President Al Yates?

Hmmmmm...

I would take Sonny in a heartbeat. The unfortunate thing is that he would get about 20 seconds into a job interview with Jay and say, " F**k this...I just got done dealing with one ass hole of an A.D.... Why would I want to come here?"

Man that is priceless!! URSA - I could not have said it better myself!

I'd take Glenn back in a second. We could then have Breske take over for him, English for him, and so on. Ahhhhhh that is quite a dream.

Sonny would be fine too. The problem is age, but who cares. From what I can tell he knows how to shake his money maker and get donors to step to the plate.

Heck at this point I'd consider wierd Al Yankovick for the job. Heck he probably could have scratched out 2 wins in the past 23 games and the post game interviews would be a lot better. :)

I did not know that Stryker was a UNC alum. For once, I will omit the blast that would make the paint peel at Butler Hancock and wherever Kay's office is....you all know what I would say anyway.....

While I would do cartwheels if Lubick came here, why would he?

I did cheer for CSU at the border war, becaue I too have had a dream that Joe gets tossed from Wyo and comes here...

It's funny that you guys are talking about wanting Joe Glenn back at UNC. There's been a ton of talk on egriz.com about firing Bobby Hauck at Montana, and bringing Joe Glenn back. Very interesting take on the two entirely different scenarios.

jjj3rd, I have heard that Mike Van Diest (Carroll College head coach) is possibly going to be your next head coach, if in fact you give Hauck the boot or if he leaves, he was mentioned in the greeley paper in a list of about 10 people in possible CSU coachs the other day.

Same thoughts seem to be rumbling around Missoula lately. Seems like both are a long shot, never seem to see Coaches returning to places they left.

Keep an eye on Moo U. though, seems JG is getting cozy with folks over there.

Joe Glen would be great but at this point it would be steps back in his career. UNC is where he made a name for himself so he could get paid the way he does. Someone explain to me why he would take a pay cut like that to return to where he started. Doesn't make good business sense to me but hey a dream is a dream.

As for Sonny Lubick a big fat HELL NO!!!!!!!! I can assure if he is to old and unable to maintain at CSU what makes you guys think he has the coaching life left to help UNC. Besides I know quite a few people that played for him at CSU and they informed me that his tactics as a coach and leader 10 years ago have led CSU to where it is now i.e.: the way he treats players and the types of players he recruits. Besides CSU is an easy sell for people to danate to. I think any coach can get a donation at CSU.

I'd go after Dave Logan as a new head coach for UNC. He has a perennial winner at Mullen, and knows Colorado high school football better than just about anybody. Nobody could do more with recruiting in-state than he could.

You are right about Dave Logan. But all the top colorado recruits are headed to CU, CSU, WYO or if they are good enough some other Big 12 or PAC 10 school which leaves us with whats left. mostly D2 type talent. We are D-I. Dave Logan, not a good fit(no college coaching experience)

Glenn now has a timer, he has 1 season to produce at UW, he has 1 winning season in 5 years at UW. I'd say if he doesn't get into a bowl he's gone. So yeah I wouldn't be surprised if he went to UM or UNC to finish his career.
