• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

I need some current info on PSU

I'm teaching at a school in Suzhou, a sister city to Portland. The school currently has a relationship to Jackson Middle School, but I want to encourage some of my kids to consider Portland State over some of the schools they usually consider. Since I graduated in 2000, my knowledge is really dated. My favorite instructor passed away a few years ago and I know many of the instructors I had have since moved on.

I'm also interested on getting some more recent videos on college life. Manny of youtubes videos are at least a couple of years old. If anybody here is a current student or knows students who are friends with international students, especially those from mainland China, could you ask them if they would be willing to make a video about PSU, so I can show it in class and maybe get them interested.

I would also like to know what classes there are that separate PSU form the other schools in Portland. I sent am e-mail to President Wevil, asking him if he could justify sending an admissions counselor here to talk to the kids, especially if they can speak Mandarin. Nebraska-Lincoln sent one a couple of weeks ago and a few kids are looking at them as a possibility.

I'm not sure if it's what you want, but PSU.tv does some good video work on campus life/student events. Outside of that, there really isn't much I know of on campus that does campus videos.

Here's a couple updated videos but you have probably already seen them:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWkJbw3J8co" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - Virtual Tour
http://youtu.be/evMsG8eE8Pg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - See why U.S. News ranks PSU among the top 10 "up-and-coming" universities in the nation. Located in the heart of downtown Portland, PSU gives students the chance to make an impact in the community and across Oregon through community partnerships, green research, and urban engagement.

I'm a current student ... but don't think I have time to make a video of the campus but I think if you follow social medias of PSU such as twitter, youtube, instagram, and facebook, you'll get a few pictures and videos here and there.
