Bengal visitor said:The guys you want are Ramos, Curry, Casas, Rastatter or Bill Kennedy. If you go to statsheet.com and look up the Big Sky officiating roster, those are the guys who are good enough to work in other, better leagues. Ramos works in 7 difference conferences, but 32 percent of his games are PAC-12. Curry works a third of his games in the Big Sky, and 28 percent in the Mountain West. (He was in the Big Ten for awhile, but must have been dropped by them as he's working almost exclusively in the West again this year). Casas works 20 percent of his games in the Mountain West, Rastatter 38 percent in the PAC-12 and Kenney 25 percent in the PAC-12 and 15 percent in the WAC. (Personally, I think Kennedy has seen better days -- I saw him on his way up to the big time, and I think we're watching him on his way down).
All of the rest of the Big Sky officials work primarily in the Big Sky, or in the Big Sky and one or two other, comparable leagues, like the Great West, WCAC or Big West. Some of the younger guys may be on their way up and worth getting in a big game, but some won't ever make it past the Big Sky level.
The last people we want to see tonight is Casas and Curry, they are terrible.
