Idaho had a great preseason and started league play strong. They had some injuries and struggled through the middle of the season. The low point came with the loss to SUU in Moscow. They have all of their guys back now, and have gone 4 - 1 in their last 5 games. Their coach is from the same lineage as Randy and they run some of the same plays.

This game could go a lot of ways, but I like our chances, with or without Joel. We are playing defense at a very high level right now and that can carry us a long ways. I expect an all out dog fight.

I will be real happy if Weber gets a split on this road trip. It's one thing to win two games at home without Bolomboy. Another to go on the road to Moscow and Cheney and get two wins or even one win. Idaho and EWU are two quality teams.

Haven't watched much of Idaho, haven't really cared to, still don't like them. I know they lost home games to SUU and Sac State but I also know they have had some injuries, and are I believe at full strength. I like our chances in this one, especially if we play defense like we did Saturday.

Idaho sucks

GO WEBER

Should be quite the game. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how the Cats respond tomorrow night. Defensively, Weber has looked amazing. However, on the offensive side of the court, the Cats have been somewhat lackluster. It would be awesome to see the Cats put together a consistent game and get a win in Moscow tomorrow. I'm just hoping that both teams are meeting each other at full strength. No one really has, talent wise, an edge. Yes, it is a home court game, being playing in the Kibbie (I guess it is Cowan Spectrum in the Kibbie) Dome.

Talking about Idaho...did anyone else see that the Sun Belt is NOT renewing its contract with Idahlol and New Mexico State after the 2017 season? I believe, I could be wrong, that the Big Sky has given Idaho an ultimatum. They have until May 4 to make a decision to come back to the Sky after the 2017 season or they offer is gone forever. I say, kick them out totally if they say no. Let them find a conference for all of their programs. If they don't want in, ask New Mexico State.

To be honest...this could be the making of a new conference. As a basketball fan, I would love to see a conference composed of the following schools:
Weber State
Montana
Montana State
Idaho
Idaho State
New Mexico State
Northern Arizona
Eastern Washington
Denver (Olympics)
Seattle (Olympics)

North Dakota is too far away, they need to be in the Missouri Valley or Summit. Trade out UND for Denver for Olympics and possibly let them stay in for football. I don't know. Might work.

Weber State
Montana
Montana State
Idaho
New Mexico State
Northern Arizona
Eastern Washington
just to keep a Cali footprint: Sac St (new basketball facility or out), or Cal Poly/UC-Davis (football only)
Denver (Olympics)
Seattle (Olympics)

I'm not as concerned about travel per se, it's the West we're all spread out and if BSU can consider going to the Big East... I am more concerned abou putting a good conference together, both basketball and football. I don't see NDSU/SDSU leaving their current conference. All the complaints about getting to Fargo leaves UND out too. If ISU could ever get their act together I'd consider them only because they are also a charter member.

Chance that Bolomboy might play tonight or Saturday afternoon.

Bolomboy looks rather energetic and limber on the floor. You can easily tell he's happy to be playing again and not sitting on the bench watching his bros.

I know Boise State is king in Idaho, but it still feels odd to me that Idaho isn't better than they are or have better facilities than they have. I can't think of too many universities named after a state that aren't at least somewhat respectable--maybe some of the New England colleges we rarely hear from (New Hampshire, Delaware, etc.).

13-25 (52%) from the free-throw line and 38.8% from the floor. Weber was also -20 in the rebounding margin, and -14 in the offensive rebounding margin (Idaho had 20 offensive boards). You're not going to beat too many teams doing that, even if they shoot 29.3% (Idaho). #RoadToReno almost makes it irrelevant, but it's still a punch to the stomach that Weber consistently plays down to their opponent and only blows people out if Weber is at home against an NAIA school.

Cant win many games when you get out rebounded that badly and when you miss that many freebies, we all know that if there is anything that would cost Weber a championship it would be Free throws, and even though we can still clinch with a win on Saturday, this team needs to make their mother fathering free throws. Idaho was far more aggressive than we were today, give Idaho credit, they played stellar defense, out rebounded the crap out of us and MADE their free throws.

Gonna have to play better if we want to win on Saturday, won't be easy…Idaho State went into Cheney and won, the Eagles are gonna be mad and out for blood.

No energy. No intensity. No urgency. Did not play like champions. Didn't deserve to win. Looks like they really didn't care. Disappointing. :wtf:

Weber's -14 OREB margin offsets UI's <30% FG% (Desire) combined with a lousy WSU FT shooting team (Focus) will cost Weber many games this time of year.
