Great chance to show off this Viking team. Game will be seen on ESPNU and also will be available on the radio on RipCity 620. Note the game starts at 6pm. Tune in, tune on, be there!(y)

For a team like PSU that basically never gets on a nationwide broadcast, do you think a strong showing (meaning: a win and a fun, loud crowd in the arena) can make a difference in recruiting for next year? Or does NIL make that a minor factor? I wonder what it takes to create and carry momentum in a conference like the Big Sky. I always admired Weber for that in the past but it's apparently not easy to keep it going forever.

Things are way different in the NIL world. I do think that a great showing tonight can help plant the seed in the minds of local kids. Don't sleep on PSU. This could propel us into a viable option versus a school of last resort.

Pretty awesome environment last night. Normally I'd be asking, where was the band, but I've noticed with the band size and our bigger crowds this year, they are kind of hard to hear. Student filled in that area anyway, and speaking of students, they brought their A game last night.

As for the game.... Nothing gets the place going like blocks and steals and last night we delivered. Again with the doubles on Miller, but with Hendo, Kensie and Minott, we certainly aren't a one man show.

Is it me or do we really get out of sync when trying to burn clock. I get it, but we got up 20 and just figured we'd hold on. We're like a golf cart and that accelerator needs to be on the floor, all the time. 110 miles an hour is in our DNA and it seems like we're more susceptible to let teams get that foot in the door and get back into it. This is also coming from a guy who has zero division 1 college games coached. ;-)

On to Saturday. Always bittersweet with the StrickCity game. Usually a pretty good crowd on hand for that game, so I gotta think Pavilion crowd record from last night may be a short lived record.

Record crowds, coordinating what color to wear, broadcast satellite vans out front, it's a great time to be a Viking!
