Meh, they are probably still butt hurt from last years “upset” over WSU, and probably even more butt hurt that Sac State is much higher on the WAC expansion “want list” than WSU. With the switch to Addidas the Hornets will be sporting new uni’s this season…and anyone thinking Stanford’s 80 year old solid color jersey with matching block pinstripe pant leg design is “beautiful” obviously has no idea what they are talking about. There are Pop Warner team uniforms that are more creative than that. To provide another baseline of their judgment, they gave WSU a “C+” for their helmet while the Hornet Battle Axe “S” received a “C-“. WSU has by far the ugliest logo of any BSC team. Anything with a kitty cat jumping out of a book is not worthy of anything higher than an “F” imo. But who cares…it’s the offseason, what else is there to talk about?

I don't even know who these guys are and I wouldn't be so quick to associate them with Weber. But dudes, whoever they are they're just rating your uniforms. It's just a pointless fashion opinion from some nobodies with a worthless blog. It means nothing. They didn't like Weber's unis either. Relax and get your panties out of their wad. As a football fan I don't care what the unis or logo look like, but only what happens on the field. I for one think Sac will have a good team and the matchup in Ogden will be very important for both teams. And by the way, those Sac unis are pretty ugly, as is Weber's logo, which is why they are looking to change it.

I came across The Upset Blog earlier this week, and enjoyed reading some of their reviews. Good time kill as we count the days to kickoff.

Sac’s uniforms have been good the past couple years, although the ‘S’ on the helmet never sat right with me. It looks too large and ill-fitting. If they really want to give some bad grades though, they should go back 10 or so years to the humped “SACRAMENTO” across the chest. Those were awful.

Regardless, its good to see a blog that is more west coast focused. Bookmarked.

I'm really not a fan of the current "S" on our helmets. I'd be happy with just "SAC" across them. The only way for your uniforms to be widely accepted is if you don't change it too often and you win, so people get used to seeing it. Other than that, the blog didn't really kill our uniforms. They were just uninspired.

"Brett" isn't so bad, but the first guy was just plain awful. The third guy, while his scores were a tad low for my taste, had some pretty good comments.

That said, I REALLY don't like the Nike influence. I'd like to see something nice, basic, old school. This crazy piping and the monochrome stuff some schools do is flat-out awful.

They're right about one thing: our unis DO look like Saskatchewan. They HAVE to be associated with Weber since they claim such, but by no means does that mean we should whitewash the entire fan base because of their stupidity. There are plenty of good Weber fans out there, and of everyone in the Sky, Weber fans seem to have given us the most slack. Just compare them to the cr@p the Montanas heave on us. Weber doesn't even compare to that.

It would be nice to see some tradition built with a good look that they stick with for years. The unis have gone through a lot of tweaks over the past 10+ years.

It was a shame to see the old school, stair step "SAC" taken off the helmet a few years ago, but it didn't really fit with the new branding. An updated a "SAC" logo that aligns with the rest of the current logos could be sharp.

They may be Weber grads but that doesn't necessarily mean they are Weber fans. Like most Weber grads they are probably BYU or Utah fans. :x All I have heard about the logo is that there is talk about changing it. I don't think it is generally a very popular logo. When they installed the new turf this summer they put a bland looking "Weber State" on the 50, and I have heard that they did that because they didn't want to put the logo there, with the thinking that it's going to change.

Weber's logo might not be very helmet friendly, but I think thier logo is sweet. The Cat jumping out of a shield with fangs and claws bared is awesome.

However, I think Weber should go back to the "GO W" for thier helmet logo.

2 of the 3 idiots might have degrees from weber but do not call them from weber. i would be willing to make a large wager they are not only NOT wsu fans they probably havent been to any games as students or alumni so take that blog for what it is worth = 0. :thumbdown:

they are mwc fans and wac fans from what i can see on there. so in other words they are byu and utah fans and know jack **** about anything FCS related. weber fans are equally insulted by them as Sac fans are. :thumb:

even from their tweets i could see them belittling weber state's football program. do not associate these butt plugs with the Purple & White proud.
