No chance that Hill is gone after this year.
Year 1 he wins the Big Sky. I know, they were Boyle's players... but he was an assistant when they were all recruited. And he still had to coach them that year. That buys up goodwill... and a low to mid-major, that should buy you at least 3-4 years unless things seriously implode.
Last year was not pretty... but they lost almost everyone from the championship winning team. All that was left was Proctor (who was a good leader and solid but a role player) and Lloyd (who got kicked off the team midway through the year. The rest was young guys with limited experience... after Lloyd and Hawk-Harris were booted they had one senior and no juniors. It's tough to win like that.
This year, expectations were probably a little higher than they should have been with no seniors on the roster. It's tough to win in the Big Sky without that experience, because the players simply aren't good enough. They have been very inconsistent all year, but that happens with a young team. They have also made big strides, especially in the last couple weeks.
Again, they will return everyone next year. It's not like he is not bringing in good players... they are just slowly maturing. That happens. Now, if they miss the conference tournament this year, and they don't look any better next year than they did this year (and miss the tournament again), then you can talk about letting him go. But after this year would be way, way too premature.
