Impact of T.J. Knowles

Will last year's South Florida transfer T.J. Knowles make an impact this year his measurables are off the charts and definitely can be a huge deep threat for us! He should be one of the best WR in the conference I don't know why Sperbeck doesn't work with him more!

From what I understand, TJ was nursing an ankle injury for the majority of the season last year. He has a laundry list of injuries that have hampered him since HS (car accidents, football injuries, etc.).

I will say that towards the end of the year when he was on the field more (particularly for 2 point conversions), you could see the defense go into "oh crap" mode very quickly...

I hope so. Utilizing Knowles more would be very good. Monson had some spectacular catches last season. Knowles looks to have the same potential, even more. Peterson will use a multiple offense. Which I think is a good sign.

I have faith that Peterson will use every weapon he has at his disposal to maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Having an OC whose sole purpose is to create an offensive game plan will be huge for next season.

Magleby to Knowles could be like Brady to Moss
Does Knowles have speed? Otherwise I see him more as an Antonio Gates type of weapon. Put him in the slot to create matchup nightmares for the opposing defense and just toss up “jump balls” for him to snag. Let Carter, Norrise and the other speedsters stretch the field. And if that ain’t open dump the ball off to McCowan, Shaw, or Ellis coming out of the backfield. The options for the QB will be limitless.

No speed displayed last year that I saw. The slot is the place for him and then let the defense figure out how many folks need to cover him. SD has the right formula with using guys coming out of the backfield as needed.

Yup, I found this video from his days at Saddleback C.C. No speed, but good hands, verticle, vision and strength.

It seems to me when he transferred in people were claiming he had speed. Watching him last year it was apparent that he wasn't the fastest guy around. With his size his size and hands he can create some problems. I was surprised that they didn't use him more, looking forward to see what he can contribute this season!

Very surprised he wasn't used more. You could see him standing out, literally, on the sidelines. I hope his injuries have healed and the OC has plans for him. Go Hornets!!!
