ISU Bengals HnH

Monday's game with the Bengals should be interesting. We get to see UI play at ISU Saturday, before we play at ISU two days later. One of those teams will come away with their first BSC win. ISU's point guard has been injured and I'm not sure when he might be back. It will be interesting to see how ISU's guards handle UI's. The two team's front courts are quite similar. I think ISU plays a more controlled game and UI will try to force the tempo. Both teams are dealing with TO problems. Both teams seem to be improving.

I'm glad we play at their place first. We seem to play well at ISU over the years. It's not a bad drive up there. It would be nice to get several hundred fans up to the game. What else you got planned for a Monday/winter night?

isu's head coach won't be available for either of our games but an assistant will take over. wsu and isu haven't played in close to 2 yrs.

i was not aware isu changed its nickname from bengals to tigers. why?

In the B4B game up in Poky today, the Bengals beat those pesky Vandals 81-74 to lift themselves out of the BSC basement.

I've watched most of ISU's games this year and they seemed to play their best in this one. ISU's outside shooters caught fire and that put them over the top. We are going to have a need to keep track of their shooters. Looks like they have everyone available to play. Monday's game should be a good one. ISU always gets sky high to play us. We need to get as many fans up there as we can. It looked like ISU had a good crowd for their UI game.

Let's go WILDCATS

Nice second half to get the win on the road. Better shooting night…maybe the Wildcats can get on another run.

It was a nice drive up to Poky and a good game to watch. I saw a dozen or more Weber fans there. Sure would have been nice to see a few hundred more. Our guys are starting to play better again. Let's get a big crowd at our place on Thursday. I expect another great game.

We win this one 78-61 on the road. With a good crowd, we could do better at home. :coffee:

Let's bring it!

Nice to see Bassett put up 14 on just 19 minutes of playing time. Been waiting for him to get healthy and back on the floor, to see what he can do.

This happened at ISU last night. It was the funniest thing I've seen at a game since Dillon punched the ref by accident.

You're welcome.

Look closely at the ISU player under the basket. Posterized.

ISU plays hard on D. You wouldn't think so by the score, but they do. After the first half up in Poky, we made adjustments and were able to put the peddle to the metal.

Last night we shot less than 30% from 3, but over 70% from 2. It was a bit like a layup drill. I think it was more from our adjustments than their defense.

I still think that this team is a work in progress. We just need to keep improving over the next month or so. Our own D seems to be getting better. We are getting a lot more blocked shots and production from the center position. The official stat sheet gave us fewer blocks than I remember, but many of the tipped shots may not have been booked as a block.

It was a fun game to watch.
