ISU Gets 1st Round Bye!

By virtue of Montana State beating North Dakota today...ISU plays the Vandals for 3rd Place tonight...with a guarantee of no worse than 4th Place!

I'm greedy and really want that 3rd seed, but seeing all the conference games play out, I really believe ISU is a top 4 squad. The team I want to avoid is UND. They always seem to be a poor matchup for ISU. I like our chances vs. everyone else on any given night.

A win tonight puts us most likely playing UND... A loss puts us most likely in a rematch with EWU. I'm not sure who I would want. EWU is a threat, and like mentioned, we usually don't match up well with UND. However, with how we're playing, we won't lose to UND three times in a row.

ISU will play the winner of the North Dakota- Southern Utah game at 235 pm Thursday. Not a great matchup, just have to hope the Hawks are tired from their first round game, should they advance as expected.
