Brad and I pointed it out on the radio at the very time it was happening. We brought it up to Coach Phenicie during the postgame show and he brought it the league's attention Monday. The interesting part of this whole miscue is that NAU got a first down on what was conducted as 3rd down and 11 when, in fact, it should have been 4th and 11, keeping a drive alive in which an ISU player WAS ejected a few plays later for targeting.

We just have to bear Idaho, regardless.

Good!

I remember that exact play and downs and asking the person next to me what the heck just happened. Nobody had a clue. Glad you guys brought this up. These refs need their feet held to the fire especially officiating D1 games.

This seems a little harsh for mixing up the downs... Unless there is more going on than what is being reported here. Which is my gut feeling!

Being at the game it did appear that the refereeing was subpar, but how can anyone say that line and not sound like an average complaining fan?

Seriously though, that makes the ISU squad that much more impressive.

Will there be any repercussions outside of the officiating crew? i.e. reversal of the targeting ejections 🤞
