4-8 Very disappointing season.
Of the 8 losses 6 were to eventual playoff teams, 1 loss to Nevada an FBS team
IMO the Eagles are a much better team at the end of the season than the first 4 games.
Most impressive is how hard the players kept working until the very end.

I’ll,give you that the team was trying hard, and that’s a positive. The loss to Drake and SELA were appalling and inexcusable. But they got better over the course of the season.

Let’s be straight, even though the offense didn’t look too sharp yesterday, that side of the ball is decent. The other side is shambolic. Every effort needs to be made to improve the players and coaching on that side of the ball. The secondary is a mess. LBs and DL can be improved.

If Eastern can figure out how to improve by about 14 points per game (whether more scoring or less points given up), the entire narrative changes.

I really like AB, however its quite apparent that he must go. He has almost run this program into the ground. He needs someone to advise him or overlook his decisions on everything. For example, there is one glaring aspect that I cant seem to grasp. He recruits a ton of offensive lineman every year but doesn't put a huge emphasis on DL or LB recruiting. Lets not kid ourselves, defense wins championships and EWU doesnt have a killer defense or has had one for years. We have gotten pushed around since the successful 2019 and somewhat successful 2021. ( please keep in mind the majority of those were BB recruits). The last three or four years have been AB guys guys. Possibly with the exception of EFTON Chism no caliber of NFL or CFL talent on the field.

AB is not all too blame, we play on a glorified high school stadium. The AD and the trustees need to figure out a way to get EWU up to par with an new stadium. ( boise state did it, why cant we-fund raising etc). We are an academic institution that has been around longer than a lot of the teams in the big sky I honestly believe we have plateaued and if we don't get our act together we are going to be the laughingstock of the FCS football division. We have a Super bowl MVP and failed to use that to escalate our football program . Total lack of vision will always hold you back. EWU is living off the past residuals of success that are quickly waning. Anyways. I still love EWU and feel like its time for EWU to start wearing big boy pants or they will be moving down a division because of poor foresight into the future. pretty embarrassing.
