ISU-USU Rugby Match

OK everyone! Some of you know that I've started a little foray into playing rugby this semester at ISU. I've just recently been moved from wing/back line to hooker, which is a position that guarantees infinite opportunities for all sorts of fun!

*We play this Saturday @ 1PM at Bartz Field, right by the Performing Arts Center (you'll see the goalposts)

*Game is expected to be here, as USU's field, where we were originally going to play, is almost completely snowed in. Provided that the snow remains light and manageable, we will play here at ISU [90% chance of this happening])

After that, I'll be at the basketball game! Hope to see you out there! Bring your camper chairs and have fun! Admission totally free

Thanks guys, but something has now come up-

From what I'm hearing, Utah State is refusing to come up here, and that they are going to try to clear off their field (which not only has 3 feet of snow but it also has tall grass and soft soil...see where I'm going with this?).

Chances are extremely good that we will be in Logan this Saturday (and that I'll miss the first half and some of the second on Saturday) playing on a shitty field.

If anything changes, I will let you guys know. Until then, sorry but we'll be in Logan and won't have a home game until April 4th (when we host the Boise Stingrays Rugby Club...incidentally, this is my mom's birthday too)

What is the most important position on a Rugby League and Union field? I know that they are all important but what is the most important in general play. I watch many games of both League and Union but I can never work out who has the real important position. And where do the 'playmakers' userally play. I am an AFL fan but I want to learn more about the Rugby codes. Dont worry, i wont be a convert!
