Bengals Win over Houston! 73-67 Anna Lee with 18pts 6rebs 5 blocks. Apiphany with 17pts.

Wow...That's terrific news! Kids can celebrate and relax a bit tomorrow before returning home Sunday. Have three game in seven days starting the 4th with Boise State.

Hope everyone can come out for the first night game of the season at home.

Big, big win for a young team. This can do wonders for their confidence!

Congrats!

A big, big improvement from the 40-0 run that WSU put on the Bengals in the first game. Seton is a great coach.

Box score from the University of Houston site:

Anna Lee with five blocks, 20 pts. Apiphany scored 15, Grace 13, Megan 10.

Outrebounded Houston 38-29.

Still having free throw issues though, that's important. Shot over 75% in their only home game. Maybe a few more games at home will help that.

It is nice to see that the women's program has been able to compete and win games against bigger schools in terms of conferences, athletic budgets, perks and often size.

Last five years plus five games this year, wins, conferences at the time of wins:

Houston (American Athletic Conference)
Boise State (twice) (Mountain West)
New Mexico State (Western Athletic)
South Florida (Big East)
Utah State (five times) (Western Athletic)
Loyola Marymount (West Coast)
Utah (Mountain West)

That's a nice list.
