The PSU, NorColorado and UM close losses were all heartbreakers. The MSU loss moved me on to the next stage of grieving process - drunken despondency. Tonight's loss, dare I say, is bordering on inexcusable. When you're up by 12 points half way through the second half you're not supposed to give up a 21-0 run on your home court. I've never seen a team tense up this way every time they get out to a big lead as this years NAU team. At least the free throw percentage is looking up.

I'm far from throwing the towel in but I have limited expectations the rest of the way from the Lumberjacks. I'll root for em. I'll tune in on bigskytv.org. I'll sport my NAU blue here in Cat/Griz territory. I continue to support and love my alma mater but I am starting to be somewhat perturbed by traits I see in the mens team. If they were getting blown out from the get go in these games it would be less disconcerting than playing well, consistently building leads and then giving em up to lose.

I have the same exact feeling mtjack. I was actually looking forward to this game because I actually thought this week would be the turnaround point for this team. I thought the close loses were just due to the team being young and I thought they would learn after a few games. Now I've come to accept the fact that this team just doesn't know how to win or is afraid to win or they're alergic to winning. the 21-0 run by ISU is just unacceptable. I just can't comprehend how something like that is allowed to happen. I'm also with you on loving NAU and supporting our teams to the end, but my positive attitude from last week has been shaken and I'm now ready to accept that this team may not win more than 2 games the rest of the season. I'm kissing the rest of the season goodbye and would not blame Adras if he used the rest of the season to play his freshman and sophomores for the experience. Like you I will continue to watch and support them, but will not expect much of them the rest of the way and it breaks my heart to say that, but the reality is this team is too young to expect anything from them.

I'm really dissapointed in the lack of senior leadership. It seems like the leadership is coming from the sophomores in Jones and Johanson. I really thought Wilson would step up and lead this team, but I haven't really seen that. He's a fine player, but did not elevate his game like Kyle Landry did last year or Ruben Boykin Jr. the year before that or Kelly Golob the year before that. We need the senior leadership for this team to do anything and frankly, it isn't there.

On a brighter note, I'm happy to see that Laurie Kelly's Lady Jacks took it to ISU in Pocatello tonight. They are playing alot better as of late and now sit in 5th in the Big Sky. They've won 3 in a row and actually have a shot at the tournament. I will continue to support them and watch their games with interest. Keep it up Lady Jacks
