This was in this week's game notes from http://www.hornetsports.com:

Through two games this year, Smith ranks 11th in the FCS and second in the Big Sky with a QB rating of 164.04. He has completed 63.4 percent of his passes (26-of-41) and has four touchdowns without an interception.

Congratulations to Jason. Keep it up!

Obviously Sperbeck saw something in him that edged him over Mcleod. He has looked really sharp this year and he will only get better!

As I predicted at the beginning of fall camp.

I will, however, have to revise my prediction of a .500 record. That was too pessimistic.

I have to confess that I wasn't rooting for Smith to become the starter this season, I was hoping that MBT would have won the job. Much to my surprise, Smith has done a very, very good job, I dont beleive MBT could have done better. It was probably the stats Smith posted last year, or the thought of a UCLA transfer leading the Hornets to glory, that lead me to think that MBT was the better candidate to lead the offense. The decission to start Smith over MBT has proven, not that I ever doubted him, that Sperbeck know's what he's doing. Great job Smith, keep making the Hornet nation proud!

Holy S@#&!, This guy is awesome! We saw brief flashes of brilliance last year; however, this year he is kicking butt! AND! Washington, Evander, Hillard, are he S%#&! too!

This is a team that delivers.

Hornets Rule!
