Jerry Bovee

What did I miss? I am also on the Jerry Bovee bandwagon, (except for cutting the spirit squad funding) but think he's done more for the program than any other AD in my lifetime. McBride brought the wins, Jerry Bovee is putting WSU on the map in Utah.

I loved the fireworks that welcomed Weber out of the tunnel, that was awesome, now if only they would.............wait for it.........BRING BACK THE CANNON.

I thought we settled that Jerry Bovee would like to bring back the cannon, but he doesn't know where it is!

we have seen some good upgrades in both sports since hiring bovee and more coming as well we have had very good teams in his era.

football: 2009, 2010 - both good yrs
basketball: 09-10 title and a good 10-11 team

would be insane to pull and 1968 and win both titles this yr but probab shouldnt be talking about it yet, lets take care of unc...

upgrades:
tons in the dee last yr
new lights and new turf at stewart among other smaller ones and north entrance renovation coming.

another big one is getting rahe signed for an extra 5 more yrs lafter 2009-10 season

another thing i really like about bovee that he has in common with graybeal...both are very friendly and will engage with the fans. now the last 2 AD's, wally zerbiak and john johnson - yikes! they were mutants! :ohno:

You can already see the improvements he has made in his short time at the university. Not counting the new turf and track, does anyone else like the little improvements he made at Stewart Stadium this offseason? The sharp-looking banners along the sidelines are a huge improvement to cover up the old cement rail eyesores.
It's the little stuff like that, which are gonna help put butts in the seats. That certainly showed on Saturday.

Many of the improvements done in the past couple of years have been in the planning stages, and requesting funding stage for a LONG time. The ground work for most of the stuff completed was done while JJ was athletic director.

Who in their right mind would say anything anti-Bovee. My young friends you are misinformed. My great grandson's friend CatCat can back me on this. :twocents: :coffee:
