Bovee is an idiot.

Im not a huge Bovee fan by any means, but I don't see how you can blame Bovee for any of this, at the time John L looked like a great hire for WSU.

Its this kind of stuff that makes me scratch my head about him

I don't blame Bovee for the situation at all, but sounds like there were no hard feelings there when there should have been. Maybe I'm misinterpreting though. IDK

Actually, it sounds to me like Smith is trying to make the situation look better by saying everyone understands, Im willing to bet a lot of players are pissed and I wouldnt be suprised if Bovee was a little steamed

Yeah I would have to guess that John L is full of shizz. Bovee didn't sound "cool" with it on the radio yesterday.

John L did say those quotes but of course they are all lies. Did you see the article this morning when Hoke was interviewed and he didn't know til after John L was gone? :roll:

Makes since, I'm out of state and don't have a ton of time to really follow all the drama. Good thoughts though Catcat, wildcat, and waterboy. I'm sure more info will surface in the coming days, I just hope the program and the team don't suffer too dramatically and the season isn't shot.

If you had to choose between Arkansas and Weber State.... honestly, where would you rather coach? Think about it. More money, more press, a chance at a D-1 title, and on top of that, he gets the chance to be a savior. I don't think you can really fault the guy for what he did.

Easy for me. I would stay in Utah. Money, glory, press, don't want it, don't need it. Besides, I'd rather keep my character intacked than sell it for Money, glory, press, or a BCS title (just to tell you it isn't a DI national title, that is FCS. At the FBS level it is the BCS Title). Like I said earlier, honor, integrity, and character are the essential elements we are here to gain. Smith doesn't have any of those things. Would you turn your back on your community, family, faith, everything you are, for some press clippings or more money? Smith is a prime example of everything that is wrong in our society. If I got a job at Weber, I'd never want to leave. It is my school...my community...my family. This is deeper than anything you can understand. John L. Smith is Weber's Benedict Arnold, Quisling, JUDAS!!

If he was not so self-centered (and please take a number if you don't think he is) he would be able to see the bigger picture. what about all the players he released from the team, what about the kids that were recruited to come to Weber and build on that? what about leaving the coaching staff with your shoe up their butts? what about shafting all the supporters of Weber? you were 'so happy' to be back at your alma mater...go listen to the sound bytes, all a bunch of crap from a crap salesman giving out samples.

money is not everything, still gotta live with yourself and spin it anyway you want John L., bottom line is you screwed the players, the coaches, the fans, and the supporters because YOU were selfish. don't look for validation from the team or staff, why do you need to justify your decision.
