John Volek Q&A

I thought this board might be interested that I just posted a Q&A with former Sac State coach John Volek. It's not a controversial Q&A by any means, but the best stuff he says is about Sac State.

Nice Q&A. Did the thought of dumping Wanless and hiring Volek as our AD in a few years (assuming he continues to build his resume’) cross anyone else’s mind?

I loved helping out Big Cat. The best college HC I was ever associated with.

SD: I'm shocked that someone who was so passionate about dumping him is asking about bringing him back as AD.

(Yes, I would support that.)

Dumped him because he didnt get the football job done. He might be ok as AD even though he is getting near retirement.

I don't recall being passionate about dumping Volek. :?

*Maybe I misinterpreted you post.

It's probably more likely that I accidentally lumped you in with some of the others around here. There were many who were giddy about his misbegotten firing.

Nice work interviewing those in the Sacramento community, Bill. Volek was definitely an important, memorable Hornet. Keep it coming and good luck with your new site.
