In this interview, Josh Cuevas - Tight end former Cal Poly player ended up transferring to Alabama after Washington and says he was planning on staying for 4 years at Cal Poly until his doucheball High School coach (Dennis Keyes, Campbell Hall High School) told him to look into the transfer portal. Thanks so much for doing that Dennis!

I was always curious why he left- assumed it was one his own volition, or his family urging him to.. Turns out it wasn't his parents or him.. it was his high school coach.

Cuevas says he didn't even really know what the portal was until said High School coach called him to screw Cal Poly football over.. well done coach Keyes!

Note to Cal Poly: Do not ever recruit any player coached by coach "Nosey Nelley" Keyes again - He is now coaching at Bishop Alemany High School FYI.. Avoid recruiting Bishop Alemany at all costs..

Now Racin Delgatty transferred to Alabama as well as Alabama realized Cal Poly can become the suckle-pig.. kind of sucks for Cal Poly.. but then again, we just got a 4 star QB from the portal for probably one year, so it's ok.

College football has been changed forever. At least until common sense prevails. Money is king. Amateur sports no longer exists, well except for D3. So, I think Poly will both suffer and benefit, as you allude, Expand. We will see how the next couple of years progress.
