Kareem Jamar is Big Sky POY

Just a little side note;

EWU is going to continue to go after international players. They will have to. No decent player from the US is going to want to play in that sort of a system. EWU is cutting their own throat, with their style of play. :twocents:

:thumbdown:

i am not a fan of outsourcing scholarships to play ball. no i dont like st mary's either. im ok with private schools doing it but not state schools. it is a waste of tax dollars. :bad: as one who lost a job to outsourcing in 2010 its just not my favorite thing. :shock: :coffee:

What you don't like your porn job?

I'm pretty shocked that neither Berry or Bam were unanimous selections. Hmmm...I guess when all the other teams suck it makes sense to vote for the crappy teams players. :rofl:

Jois is not 6'8''. I don't know what they list him at, but he may be 6'6'' if you put him on a rack and stretched him for a while. He is a talented player, but he is not going to be MVP unless EWU becomes a contender. I don't see that happening any time soon. They will finish about the same next year as they did this year. Teams like that are going to force the NCAA into a shorter shot clock. Fans don't want to pay to see some slug hold the ball between his legs for 30 seconds. :thumbdown:

Eastern Washington played at the second fastest pace in the Big Sky this year. Weber State was 227th in the country which was 8th in the Big Sky. So which team is going to force the NCAA to shorten the shot clock again? :)

EWU plays fast and shoots tons of 3s (last year tied for 4th in the country in 3PA per game, this year tied for 3rd). Isn't that just about the exact type of system that kids like to play in?

Not when they played us. In the first half the ran a slow weave for 25 to 30 seconds, and then someone would go hard to the basket and hope for the best. In the second half, they disposed of the weave and just held the ball near the half court line. They were trying to cut the game in half, keep it closer. It actually worked for them. They only lost by 8. If they would have played us strait up, they would have lost by 20+.

I don't know...but I'm pretty sure that Eastern Washington was the most improved team throughout the season. No they didn't make the tournament, and were a really young team, but in every game they played they were right there. At the end. Even against Weber. They have a handful of good bigs who are all young, on top of that, they found an amazing guard in Harvey. If the Eags can find a PG, which they might have in Hill, then the Sky should really be worried.

Granted, I know I say this every year, but with how bad the Sky was this year, there is nowhere to go, but up. hahaha...I think Eastern might be one of those team that will really help improve the conference.

jon,

how fast can your offense be when it has more plays than our football team's offense? :lol:

and tal, i dont technically work in the porn industry. :mrgreen: :oops:
