Of course it affects ISU as Bone was Portland State's head coach, the team that has beaten us out of the BSC Tourney for two years in-a-row...tee-hee! And a story posted about who Portland State hires next will also be relevant...

Oh dammit! Ken Bone was one of my favorite coaches! I loved his intensity and I thought he brought a lot to the Big Sky

Interesting hires at WSU. John Johnson, former Weber AD and Eastern Washington AD is Sr. Associate at WSU - and former EWU football coach is hired by Cougs. Jim Sterk, AD at Washington State is former Portland State AD. Does anyone know if he was the AD who hired Bone at Portland State or was that someone else? Big Sky pipeline to the Pac10 runs through Pullman.

Head coaches at Cal, USC,ucla, and now , WSU are former Big Sky coaches. There are a lot of former Big Sky officials in the PAC-10 as well.

I believe Tom Burman or Teri Mariani hired Ken Bone. O'Brien is now #2 in longevity in the Big Sky Conference, only behind Mike Adras.
