Kody Wilstead

I just saw Kody Wilstead left BYU I wonder if we will give him a look or if he is even interested in Weber he would be a great addition.
Any thoughts

I saw that too and wondered the same. Pretty much untested but certainly mature, having served a mission and spending a RS year at the Y. 3-Star out of HS in St. George.

I doubt with 8 QBs on the roster that we are entertaining Wilstead as a transfer.

"Wilstead was a three-star prospect coming out of high school and held offers from San Diego State, Louisville and Southern Utah before choosing BYU."

My bet is on SUU or somewhere else.

SUU loves the transfer QBs, especially the ones from BYU. And they've had success with it. Would make sense he ends up there being from St George.

Talking of QBs, since Spring Football starts tomorrow, I figure that the roster is up to date? Jake Constatine as of now is not on it. But, regardless, his twitter still says he is here and part of the team. That means there are a lot of QBs for Jay to chose from. We will see who sticks after spring ball and who doesn't. Personally, I think that Ricedorff, Jenks, Constatine, Hymas, and Weisser are the top guys. After last season, I just don't see Shaw or Miles really competing for the QB spot, but then again, I could be totally wrong. I had my doubts about Cantwell last March and he sure as hell proved me wrong.

I see he is committed, but I don't know that he was a January enrollee. More likely joins the team this summer. Either way, I am gonna go to practice tomorrow and see who is who.

That is why I don't think that a starter will be named coming out of spring ball. Yes, we will know more about the guys who are here already, but more talent will be coming in the summer. The competition will open up again. We may not know who the starters will be until the first game. I fully expect upgrades at many positions over last years team. Yes, we lost some very good players, but we have some very good talent coming in. :coffee:
