Looking forward to having the Eagles visit SLO. Televised on Root. Should be a great Big Sky game and better than some may think. EWU's offense vs Cal Poly's defense should be fun to watch. Any Eagle fans planning on making the trip?

My entire family is going. Is there a particular parking lot to tailgate?

This is what I do and I highly recommend it. They will have a section set up for EWU fans and you really can not beat it. Chicken or Tri-tip B-B-Q and all the beer, wine or soda you can drink for 2 1/2 hours. They usually have live music and there is anywhere from 2,000 to 3,000 fans depending on the game. No set up, no tear down. Just come eat, drink and talk football. :thumb:

This game scares me. Cal Poly is a very good football team that has had some tough breaks. Really got a homer job in Missoula this season. They have perhaps the best defense in the conference and that is a tough road trip as well so hopefully the Eagles have a good week of practice and come well prepared. The short week to prepare for the TO is certainly concerning.

The alumni tailgating seems like the way to go but we already have our tickets. There will be 35 of us. We will be BBQing and have a motor home there. If you see 35 people dressed in red at a motorhome come by for a beer and hamburger. We will stop by the alumni area too. Hope to meet the EWU fans.

The EWU Alumni group is selling tailgate only tickets for $25 (11 and older) and $10 (3-10 yrs) through today. Either way it should be a fun time.

They really do a good job so it is worth the $25. Not really open for "walk-ins"

Hey Clawman we will have to meet and talk football over a couple of cold ones before the game. :thumb:

Hope you all have a great time in SLO....I think it will be a great game. I wish I could make the drive up from San Diego, thankfully I'll be able to watch the Root broadcast.

Anybody remember the OT game from a few years ago? EWU v Cal Poly has some good recent history

Go Poly!

not so tough, thanks to our two fbs games we had enough for charters to several tough travel sites and this is one of them. So the team will be fresh and rested in Cal Poly and home early for the Portland game.

Three OTs was it? What a back and forth game. One for the ages!

Should look a lot like last year except EWU scores more points. CP will play hard, just no answer for EWU's balanced attack and improved run defense. IMO

Cal Poly scared me last year, but we shut them down. True, we won't have home field advantage. However, I don't think Cal Poly is as good as last year and I think we are better than last year. We will win this game.

Yeah, that was a gut wrencher, especially since I was at work and couldn't watch it, only listened to it on the radio with an earbud in my ear while working. I think I aged a year that night.

Oh yeah, we were at that game and our son had 19 tackles! We were exhausted just watching by game's end. This was the picture of one of those tackles from the local paper's front page.

I like Cal Poly, and I'm not even quite sure why. IMO, they were the "Big Get" when the conference expanded. I don't see the other schools as adding the stature Cal Poly has. Plus, and this post is evidence of it, their fans seem to be pretty cool.

Actually, I do know why I like Cal Poly.... Coach Walsh is a great guy. I have some great stories about a night I went out in Portland with that guy; but I doubt I can remember all of what happened. Good stuff.
