Life, Death, Taxes, and a Causeway loss

Having watched this game for 35 years now, I wish I could say that today's outcome shocked me. That Sac State crapping the bed against a Davis team was shocking....but it wasn't. It happens every year, so much so that I come into the game expecting a loss regardless of talent or record. Lets go over the zaniness, shall we?

-blocked extra point returned for a safety
-after pinning Davis deep Norrisse proceeds to dance like an idiot before the punt and have the ball bounce off his chest and roll 30 yards to the endzone where he misses it again resulting in a Davis TD.
-Pooching a kickoff 20 secs before the half and allowing UCD to return it for a TD
-refs disallow a TD pass to Carter for the 2nd week and then the FG is missed.
-after finally gaining the lead back despite so many self-inflicted wounds, Sac intercepts the ball in Davis territory and DECIDES TO TRY A DOUBLE REVERSE PASS FROM A WR THAT HAD BEEN $&?!ing up all game, resulting in an int.

Whew! The funny thing is that was a pretty ordinary Causeway from our boys. Davis expects us to do this to ourselves every year, and we regularly bend over and comply. Take a tip from me...never expect a Sac win in this game, ever. Always expect us to lose and that way you might be surprised on that rare once a decade occasion when the refs screw the Aggies and McLeod Bethel Thompson hits a miracle in the end zone. It is the prophecy and the intended order of nature.

Honestly guys, thank god for this board, you all are the only people who understand the craziness that it is to be a fan of this program. If it weren't for this site I would have gone nuts years ago.

I had to stop watching after the kickoff was returned, I was in a fog, haze....unable to comprehend

Yep, this is about as well as you can sum it up. I honestly think you could take Alabama's roster, dress them up in Hornet gear and even they'd find a way to lose to a Bob Biggs coached team. It's become that ridiculous.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of guys.

Put that in your pipes and smoke it boys. See you again next year. When does a one sided rivalry stop being called a rivalry.

I'm guessing about the time you stop posting here, you crazy b@stard. I actually wouldn't mind not playing your team with their voodoo magic anymore. We'd probably make the playoffs. It's obvious you all sold your souls to the devil to defeat us...only explanation.

I agree ... It isn't a rivalry.

That said, don't forget that, despite today's loss, the Hornets managed a winning season for the 2nd time in the past 3 seasons while UCD has had a losing record 2 out of the past 3. Choke on that smoke ;)

Typical phaggie troll. Not a peep from you all season and then you magically show up right on queue. Total class by this guy. :jack:

And spot on Phantom. Coaches couldn't get out of their own way in this one.

too late for campaigning....insider information is that Dan Hawkins is gonna be named the next HC.

Kind of a big pay cut for Hawkins just to get back into coaching! I wish him the same luck he had at Colorado!
