Projected finish:

1. Montana (8-0)
2. Eastern Washington (6-2)
3. Northern Arizona (6-2)
4. Montana State (5-3)
5. Weber State (4-4)
6. Northern Colorado (3-5)
7. Sacramento State (2-6)
8. Portland State (2-6)
9. Idaho State (0-8)

Again, not sure how much stock I put in this but thought I'd throw it out there.

It's hard to say how strong the conference will be this year, but I agree, if there was ever a year Montana looked vulnerable, it's now with the turnover and the new staff. One thing about UM though, they've bought into a culture of winning and they know how to nut out those close ones. No other team in the Big Sky has learned to do that regularly.

That winning culture does take time ! Then and ONLY then is when you know you've arrived !

It's not mine it's Lindy's, I was just correcting Rangers mistake.

I think the newest one has some merit. I do know we played MSU last year when they were devasted with the flu(missing like 8-9 starters)....heck, they didn't have a kicker on the roster. They led 24-14 in the 4th qtr. and it took pulling out three td's in the 4th to get the win and it was at home. The 9/25 game at MSU may turn out to be the deciding factor as far as playoffs are concerned.

I agree with Lindy's/catattack's predictions. As much as I hate to admit it, Montana is still number one until otherwise knocked off. I just threw up a little bit in my mouth. Even with a new coaching staff and basically an unproven O-line and D-line. MSU will be better then most think. If, and I do say if, MSU was healthy last year, they would have finished higher. EWU, we just need to step up and win the big game. We have better athletes than most of the other BSC teams. They just need to show it. Basically, I feel it is a toss up between the top three teams for the title. GO Eags!

From Tony Moss, Senior NFL Editor at The Sports Network, who put together Lindy's preseason rankings:
Readers: Why did you pick Aaron Corp as your newcomer of the year when he is uncertain to start at Richmond?

Me: Please note that my deadline came before Richmond’s spring practice, so I was flying blind a little bit there. My judgment was that Corp didn’t transfer from USC to be a No. 2 at Richmond, but of course we’ll have to see how it shakes out. For the record, my second choice was Bo Levi Mitchell from Eastern Washington, and had he been confirmed as the starter before my deadline, there’s a good chance I would have picked him over Corp.
:D

i dont think weber will ever finish as low as 5th place as long as we have coach mac. if he does i think he'll be gone like glanville. he's a famous coach in our state. and its not because weber is a school with high expectations for football as we've always been a bball school, but because of coach mac we can raise the bar...finally!

my guess with likely some ties between 2nd-4th:

1. Montana
2. Weber State, Eastern Washington, Montana State
5. Northern Arizona
6. Sacramento State
7. Northern Colorado
8. Portland State
9. Idaho State

Weber has many unknowns, most fans are picking my team to finish between 5th-7th even after the last 2 yrs finishing 1st and 3rd. Based on what I know about the 2010 team, finishing 4th would be a failed season.
