LOI list

Does anyone else absolutely love this recruiting class?! Seems like we filled all the needs nicely and set ourselves up perfectly.

Is there anybody we lost that we were hoping to get? David Jones is probably one (to Portland St.). I've seen him play and would have loved to had him in here as an athlete but am not busted up about it after seeing our list...

I'm absolutely thrilled about this class! It has to be one of our highest rated in a long time, we had six 2 star recruits and three 3 star recruits if you count the transfers. Looks like Vernon Adams originally committed to PSU but is now an Eagle, I was glad to see him on the list.

We should all be excited about this class!!!

David Jones would have been a great get as a WR. I'm assuming PSU is going to give him a chance to play QB in the pistol, which I think might well be a mistake for David. He's sort of in the same situation Isaiah Stanback was in coming out of High School. He was an incredible athlete on a team that needed a QB, so he was the QB. At the college level IS struggled at times and was never considered as a QB prospect for the next level. He eventually made it to the NFL as a WR, but his development as a WR was stunted by playing QB in college.

That being said, I can't see how anyone can be anything but thrilled with this class. It is balanced, talented, and address the few needs we have. In all honesty with 16 starters returning, and two pretty good classes in front of this class, need wasn't really an issue.

That being said, I wonder if the long snapper and/or the Idaho LB might see the field a lot anyway. Or does Ena move back to LB, and open up playing time at DE?

I think the most intriguing position to fill next season may be CB. There are a lot of guys already on the roster that might fill those spots, or maybe one of the DB's in this class comes in in the fall and lights it up.

The battle at CB and for JC's spot should be entertaining to watch this spring. Also, seeing Pulu play a 3 technique as opposed to a 5 technique this spring should be interesting to watch too. It's hard to imagine a blocking scheme that would allow an offense to double team both Renard and Andru.

No matter how you slice it. It's a good day to be an Eagle.

Go Eags!

Awesome class of recruits!! Notice one thing about the o-line recruits, tall and large for highschool but not for the next level, Best has gotta love that, not taking the weight off oversized guys but adding muscle weight and size through strenght and conditioning!!! This looks great for the future of the o-line and will add depth and competition at those positions!!! GOEAGS! the battles are won in the TRENCHES!

GREAT class. Even some of the Montana folks are  with jealousy. Or is it  with envy? Who cares. :D

Here's a compilation of all the highlight videos I could find. Posted on CS because *cough* CHRIS *cough* hasn't worked on any updates that I've been asking for for almost a year now, thus embedding youtube videos on here isn't an option yet.

Enjoy! :)

Just saw Shaquille Hill's highlights...they're SICK!!...he reminds me of Taiwan in that they're both playmakers. From the vid Hill shows moves, speed and escapability comparable to Taiwan. See for yourself. you be the judge.

Reveagle;
Sick in an understatement!! WOW what an athlete.

Couldn't decide if Hill was that fast or the other teams were that slow. Noticed there weren't many fans. Also noticed the high school were he's from has a total of 40 boys in the school and 27 of them are on the football team...small school league

He has some skills and has glimpses of Taiwan, another recruit we can be really excited to have!

Hill is going to be a good one, that's for sure. Don't think he looks quite as fast as TJ, but he definitely has some wheels. Great balance and acceleration, certainly TJ-esque.
