Long Standing Records Could Fall

Joel Bolomboy needs 8 more blocked shots to become the alltime shot blocking record holder for WSU.
If we win tomorrow, it could happen.

5 dunks will establish a new team season record.

2 wins will establish a new team season record.

Tomorrow nights game is exciting for those reasons alone. It is a great game for a lot of other reasons, as well.

Go Cats; Beat the Ponies!

I didn't even realize all that night is on the line. Also latest season home game, latest season games, if Weber wins out first time playing in April.

I think you mean WSU's single-season blocked shots record, but yes, it could happen if WSU plays in two or three games in this tourney. That's a BIG "if" though. WSU was probably the best team in last season's CIT and didn't even get into the third round.

Looks like the team, season dunks record is going down Saturday night. We are tied for the most ever, right now.

Also, Bolomboy with only one official block last night!?!?? I can remember three or four, but they only counted one for him. Come on stats crew. I've noticed several home games this year where that has happened. We get better stats on our road games. I know that our stat crew is all volunteer. Maybe they need to recuit someone to just keep track of blocks. :twocents:

I was there and only recall seeing the one block from Joel and a couple of near-misses. Tres and Hajek each had a few memorable ones, though. Joel went up alongside Tres on one of his blocks, so it may have appeared like it was Joel's.

There was another one, where Joel knocked one into the cheap seats but Mook fouled the guy just prior to the block. I don't think it counts as a block if there is a foul on the play. He may also have had one that was just a finger tip. Enough to make the shot miss, but questionable as a block. :twocents:

If we win the CIT, will be pull a Mercer and hang a banner? Catcat likes to hang banners, but is this tournament banner worthy? Maybe have a" 2012-2013, 31-6 record, CIT Champions" on in? It seems worthy to me... :twocents:

If Weber wins the CIT and has a record of 31-6 THERE BETTER BE A FRIGGIN BANNER HANGING UP IN THE DEE.

I believe 31-6 and CIT Champions would be banner worthy. This has been a special team. A joy to watch. We're so lucky to get to watch them for a few more games!

Hoping for a great game against the Air Force Academy!

Yes! Banner for sure. Where is our cbi and cit banner from last 2 yrs? I guess only sjsu does that.

Just thought of another record on the line...now I am not sure if it is a good thing or bad thing to know this stuff from memory but oh well....

Most games played is 34. We had I think 3-4 players for thst record including Ben Howland. 1978-80 range. Not sure which season. Need to verify.

But at least our starting five can tie 34 tonight and have a new record if we can get past AF.

wsu ties big sky record 28 wins. ewu was 28-11 in 1990. i thought it was griz. oops.

uh, i believe tal had told me about a year ago the ewu stat was wrong, it was just 18. plus 28-11 is way too many games. it didnt seem right, knowing how bad ewu was in the early days when the eags joined the sky.

*wsu only team to ever win 28 games in big sky history.

i still can't believe we have won 28 games this year with the nba rookie of the year who could have been on our roster this year. that is a big loss.

Today we will have played 35 games, the most games any Big Sky team has ever played.

WSU has 568 assists this season, a school single-season record

WSU needs 28 more points to set a Big Sky single-season record for points in a season

WSU has set a new school and BSC record for most team points scored in a season, passing the 98-99 WSU team that had 2,611 pts. #bigskymbb
