M: 2017-18 Season

Hornets lose to UCSB, 82-72 this past Saturday.

Hornets enter BSC play with an abysmal 3-10 record. Hornets should have a few more wins to be closer to 500, but there are just too many holes on this roster.

congrats Hornets for the Big Sky opening win over Portland State
Big win over a very good Viking team.

Keep it up on the road next week.

Stingers Up

and Go sac State

Yup, big win indeed. 80-75 win over a very good PSU team in the Nest to start BSC play.

Great game plan from Katz, slowed the game down to a snails pace that really took PSU out of their rhythm. Strings was unstoppable, put up 34 on 16/18 from the floor. Tolbert had 19 off the bench, 3 huge 3's that put the Hornets on top in the 2nd half. Hornets grind it out in the final minutes, probably put this one away a lot sooner if they could have took advantage of some late FT opportunities.

Great start to conference play.

Hornets implode at the end of both halves and lose at Idaho 69-68. Hornets blew an 11 point lead with about 8 minutes left...only made one basket (missed every FT) the rest of the way. Another coulda, woulda, shoulda for Katz and this program.
