M, Hardwood Causeway: @ the farm extension

The Hornets will be at the farm extension tonight. The Hornets have been playing well the last 2 games. The farm extension has had a brutal start and I think they were missing a couple of player due to injury. I have no idea if they will have them back for tonights game. They are with a new coach this year so there might be some adjustment time. Last season the Hornets were burned from beyond the arc. I have no idea what style of offense and defense they run under the new coach.

The Hornets had 3 players miss the Washington State game. They are questionable for tonights game.

We looked horrible in the first half; we couldn't hit anything from long range over their zone. Katz kept trying different players and finally we cut it to ten right at the end of the half, but you could feel that if we started hitting some, we'd be back in it.

The second half was totally opposite of the first. Once the Hornets started hitting a few threes it opened up the middle and we made our long comeback. The guys really stuck with it, and most everyone who got in contributed. Jackson's hustle on both ends got us going and put us over the top. Our free throw shooting was very good and kept them at bay down the stretch.

I was surprised to see so many Davis fans leave early; even with a few minutes to go, but they were really ticked cuz they lost that huge lead. This should be a real confidence builder for the Hornets knowing if they keep trying they can come from way back and still win - and on the road at that.

I know people do it everywhere, but I'm not a fan of that leave early trash. Beating traffic doesn't even enter into my brain housing group when I'm at a game. I support my team until the clock reads 0:00.00 (or the last out is recorded, if it's baseball/softball), even if we're getting trounced. I've never understood fans like that.

Wow. Rallying from 17 down to win by 8 is damn impressive. I’m doing everything in my power to not get excited about this team right now. Good to know we completely own the farm extension on the hardwood. Great job by the players for getting it done. Also hats off to the coaches for making the necessary adjustments to allow this team to pull it off. Looking at the box score and reading TGH’s recap above, it sounded like the Hornets played lights out down the back stretch of the second half. It must have been a fun game to watch. Rebounding and minimizing turnovers looked to be the difference. :notworthy:

Congrats to the Hornets for a great come back win! Especially sweet to win a game like this against Davis.

It's early, but Eberhart (scoring), Garrity (true point guard) and Veteto (rebounding and inside presence) have the Hornets playing well.
