The Hornets have one more chance to secure hosting rights to the BSCT, but it will be up in the mountains at NAU. NAU has only lost once at home in BSC play and are one of the hottest teams in the BSC so they are favored to win this game. I think the Hornets will have a tough time in this game but if they can play at their top level then they have a chance. If there ever was a Hornet team to pull out the improbably, this is that team. The game still has to be played.

Let's switch up the vibe! At 1:05 PM Saturday, the Hornets will administer a thorough ass kicking of NAU and render both UM and EWU's games essentially meaningless later that evening. How I would love to see eGriz go berserk...

Yup. Still a reason to be excited. Hornets just need to get it together and leave it all on the court tomorrow.

I did watch the NAU/PSU game after the Sac State game and it was a brutal grind to watch as both teams really stunk offensively, but it was partially becuz of good 'D' by both squads. If NAU doesn't shoot any better tho, we'd have a good chance, but if they play like they usually do at home, the Hornets will have to play a complete and very good game to win it.

I'd really 'hate' to see the Griz host the tourney tho; I'd rather have Eastern host it if the Hornets can't.

NAU almost lost last night. If they shoot as bad as they did last night our chances are real good. I know Mikh and Dylan will be laying it all out there, as well as Cody, Nick, Eric, Zach, Alex and Dreon. These Hornets don't quit on themselves and we better not quit on them either.

I see that Vegas has NAU as five point favorites today. They are very good at home, so this will be an uphill struggle for the Hornets; however, if we're clicking on all cylinders, we can beat them again.
Eastern and Montana still have to win too, so if the Hornets can't pull it out we'll have to root for Weber and Mont St., to save us.

I feel like UM is a gimme against MSU. Win and we host, lose, and we ain't! Hello 3 seed in Missoula...

Honestly, the hornets have no one to blame but themselves up by 4 with 2:30 to go...you should win these games..it also does not help when you got hammered on the board 43 to 16...also the officiating was bad Mckinneys 4th foul was horrible and the play at the end when the ball got knocked out of his hand was a bad call. I guess players just like to drop the ball out of bounds for no apparent reason.

I was real worried when Strings had to shoot those frees; he's just not good at it. NAU killed us on the boards otherwise we win it.

Well, like I said earlier, we still have a shot. Eastern could get upset by Weber and the Griz could certainly lose to Mont St who have improved lately. Nothing's a given in this conference.

And if those two upsets don't happen, we'll just have to go elsewhere to take the tourney and get to March Madness that way; might be more exciting to do it that way instead! Go Hornets.

70-68 Hornet loss. Well that’s just too bad. I didn’t get to watch it but was following the game on my phone. The Hornets seemed to leave it all on the court and just ran out of gas in the final minutes. Brutal weekend and I can’t help but think this team is emotionally spent. Disappointing end to an otherwise great season. I hope this team can regroup for the BSCT but I’m thinking maybe we get past the first round and that’s it. Playing the BSCT in Sac would have been huge for this team and this program. Unfortunately the magic this team had for most of the season has just finally ran out.

Worst of all is I think this is a crucial blow to any momentum we had at getting a new arena. Having the Well packed for the Hornet games in the BSCT would have rolled nicely into a push for an event center. Unfortunately it’s going to be a lot harder for any potential event center plan to get any traction now.

I’m damn proud of these coaches and this team. Hell of a year, best ever by far.  :notworthy:

I know it's early, but UM and EWU are both losing midway through the first half against Weber and MSU respectively.

As expected UM is pulling away from MSU. EWU is getting shat on by Weber (dangerous team if they make the BSCT BTW). So if things hold up us, EWU, and NAU are all tied for 2nd. Common records are Hornets 2-2, NAU is 2-1, and EWU is 1-2 so I think that makes us the 3 seed (goes by winning % I think).

Assuming the top seeds move on in the 1st round, that means we would see NAU and EWU would play UM. I would take that on a neutral floor.

Bottom seeds are a total cluster fvck so I dunno who we would see in the 1st round.

EDIT: NM, EWU climbed back in it. Total toss up at this point.

EWU-WSU game going to OT. Harvey with an awful shot on the last possession. WSU had the ball with under a minute and didn't push for a 2 for 1.

EWU and WSU go to OT. This game is still big for the Hornets. Well, I guess it depends on how you look at it...

A WSU win would mean be play them Rd. 1 (I think) which is scary, but it would also secure the #2 seed for us (meaning we wouldn't have to face UM until the championship --- if we got there)...
