Looks like EWU is going to pull it out. So I think that makes us the 4th seed.

Means we play UNC. Not a good matchup, but its on a neutral court so total toss up.

I don't think it matters who the Hornets play; we're capable of losing to any of them on the road and at altitude. I'm keeping my expectations in check big time for this next round; I'm exhausted!

Yeah anyone can beat anyone in the BSCT, teams are not that far apart this year. I want to avoid Idaho, I don't think we would beat them again. Weber is 8th since PSU knocked off SUU.

Idaho lost so they are either 7th or 8th (not sure on WSU-Idaho tied brekaers) so we get UNC for sure if we are 4th. 3rd means we play PSU and I think we would beat them if Tucker is still hurt.

Per a reputable poster on CS, this is the first round:
Men

6 PSU vs. 3 SAC
7 ID vs. 2 EWU
5 UNC vs. 4 NAU
8 WEB @ 1 UMT

Women

6 UND vs. 3 UNC
7 MSU vs. 2 SAC
5 NAU vs. 4 EWU
8 ISU @ 1 UMT

OK, now I've cooled down and rewatched that last offensive play by Mikh about 20 times and have come to the sour grape conclusion that.....HE GOT FOULED ON THE LEFT FOREARM.....NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.....HE WAS FOULED IN THE ACT OF SHOOTING.......YANKU CAME DOWN HARD ON HIS FOREARM AS HE WENT UP AND HE LOST THE BALL AS A RESULT.....ANOTHER BSC SCREWING OF SAC ST........ok now I've said it and I feel better.....there was NO WAY the BSC was going to let us host at the "Well".....they let NAU get away with fouls over the back all day long trying to help them to win.....look at every stat except rebounds and free throws and we dominated the game....they HAD to get the calls or they lose by 15 easy.......with all the bitching and complaining from the Montana faithful the BSC caved to their favorite child...the old squeaky wheel deal.

I recorded the play and watched it over and over again. He was definitely fouled, and hard enough for the ball to fly out of his hands. But the referees didn't get 21 offensive rebounds...

Heh heh. While I am not a card carrying member of the Tin Foil Hat Club, I must say that if the bsc did not want to stage their marquee event with its largest national exposure in a rec center, I'd certainly understand it.

That all said, did he get fouled? Meh, debatable. But there were at least 30 more obvious fouls not called in that game. Now, I agree with you the bsc officiating sucks. It always sucks. But that didnt' cause sac the game.

And to suggest the bsc favors Montana is the most laughable thing Ive ever read. The conference does all they can to upset the Griz apple cart. Foolerton is aalllll about parity.

We all know you didn’t type that with a straight face. Nice try though.

The snub of DeCuire as COY is just another example.

The coaches vote for COY, maybe they are giving us a payback for the way UM gets favored in everything the BSC can have an influence on. GO WEBER STATE!!!!!!!!!!

Given a school that hasn't had a winning record in 38 years FINALLY posts one and puts up the most in-conference wins in school history, it would be VERY hard to believe said school NOT having at least a piece of the COY Award. The Griz are there all the time. This is MUCH more impressive, Clark....

Great season for Sac. But they were expected to have a great season. They were picked 4th and ended up tied for 3rd. The Griz were picked 8th after losing the best player and arguably the best coach in the conference. They won the league.

Listen, I don't have too much trouble with the selection of Katz. But for DeCuire not to -- at a minimum -- share the award is ridiculous.

And peegpee and SD, your points are precisely what I've been saying all along. The bsc likes to see everyone get a ribbon. The Griz are always good, so let's give this award to someone else. Yay!!!! Now everybody's a winner!!!!

Your statements come across as a sense of arrogant entitlement…quite telling. May as well be some old timer bitching about the government messing with “their” social security or Medicaid. How dare the BSC COACHES award the COY award to a non-Griz coach!!! Oh the horror!!! :grizo1:

The fact is Katz probably deserved this last year; he is long over due for a COY nod. :coffee:

Entitlement??? No, that would have been if I was on here saying Tinks should have been COY last year. Saying a completely deserving coach should have won the award is not entitlement. Katz and Hayford did what was expected. Jobs well done. What DeCuire did was remarkable. Read a few other fan boards. Many fans of other programs are wondering just as much about the selection. Even an Eags fan on eGriz said DeCuire deserved it over Hayford.

Since the coaches are the ones that makes the selection there isn't much more to discuss. DeCuire did a fine job, just not better than Katz and Hayford as far as his peers are concerned. They would have a better idea about it that us keyboard warriors.

Ha! Well, perhaps. They certainly didn't have a better idea about who would win the conference. 8-)

Those were PREDICTIONS, I guess they lack the ability to see into the future but the COY was based on what they had ALREADY SEEN. Quite a difference in my opinion.

Let me qualify your claim that "many fans of other programs are wondering just as much about the selection". I went through all the other boards and found exactly 4 (as in four) other fans wondering. Guess I have a different opinion of what "many" means. But DeCuire did do a nice job. One of the problems with preseason predictions are the uncertainties with each team. No one saw Breunig becoming the force he was in conference.

But didn't they see two teams perform as expected, and one team exceed expectations by an extremely wide margin? If that happens in the business world, who gets the promotion? The guy who met expectations, or the guy who greatly exceeded them?
