M&W: 2015 BSCT

Btw, montana did NOT get a technical for this... Tonight. Decided the game and likely started a scrum afterwards...

I watched the replay of the last 5 minutes of that game. That should have been a technical (no surprise montucky gets another break from the refs) but I don't think it would have changed the outcome. NAU would have had a FT and the ball at half court with 0.4 seconds left. Maybe NAU loses by 1 instead of 2 with a better look at one final heave but that is about it.

There is no excuse for NAU's coach(es) for acting how they did following the game, even with the late hatchet job by the refs. It's hard but they just need to rise above.

Montana women win it over UNC.

Wonder how Sac State would get a post season bid with both EWU and UNC at 20 overall wins.

The Hornets indeed came in 2nd in the Big Sky regular season. Is that enough?

Just see on hornetsports.com that the women Hornets basketball team will be in the NIT!!!!!!!

This is just fantastic for our program that improved and improved for the past four or five years and has broken so many NCAA records or been up their with the best of the best records in NCAA Div I records.

Just thrilled for Sac State basketball to be playing on!!!!!

Fingers crossed that we might actually host? Why not? Would assume that this would mean much more to a program like Sac State that has not gone to the post season in Dev I then other schools. And would expect a sell out. Was at the NIT championship game at Cal a few years back and the place was 80 percent empty.

Go Hornets!!!

sac State Pride.

and now waiting to see if our mens team gets to move forward in a post season tourney. Would be so sweet and so well deserved as our basketball programs improve and improve.

So the luck of the Griz ends as Montana falls in the Big Sky finals after a two point OT win over Weber and a two point win over NAU. So Montana is 20-12 and the Hornets 20-11. Guess the Griz get the NIT bid. We will see about our Hornets who have a victory over the Griz in the only game between the two teams this year.

And hope the nation enjoyed the Big Sky championship tonight from the Montana gym. Seriously, how the Griz fans so believe the nation is watching them and the Big Sky. Baffling.

Good to see the international EWU team go from a team that did not make the tourney last year to NCAA tourney bound. Way to bring out of country players and pay that big time tuition for them. Heck, whatever works and all fair. Just like St mary's . All about that Aussie pipeline that EWU is tapping into now.

All good int terms of bringing up the Big Sky as EWU has done this year with the big win over Indiana.

EWU does what it needs to do in terms of the minimum 13 or 14 Big Sky Sports and that is it. All about football and basketball at EWU. Nothing wrong with that. Sac State continues to field 19 sports that require scholarships and is part of several conferences. A very different model No crew, no mens soccer , no baseball, no sand volleyball and no gymnastics at the small college with over 50 pecent less students than at Sac State.

but all good. It is was it is.

UM chokes away a big 2nd half lead as EWU went on a 21-4 run to close out the game and earn the NCAAT bid with a 69-65 win.

Damn good season of BSC hoops. The conference will have some good representation in the post season tournaments.

Gagging big leads seemed to be an MO of DeCuire all year. Grizwald...your coach is the master of the gag job...good reason for not getting the COY.
