Maine defense

It appears that the EWU defense didn't get the respect it deserved from Maine....

So they just went and took it.

It's like playing football with your little brother, you hit him, pick him up, hand him the ball again, take a few steps back, he runs, you hit him again etc... 90 plays to score 19 points. Was very sick of the "respect" BS. It is earned.

The offensive line put forth a monster effort. I don’t think Maine had seen quite as much speed as we have.

Don’t know if anyone else noticed, but Maine’s receivers were a strange group. They caught some great balls in traffic, but seemed to drop a lot of easy passes. It almost seemed like the tougher the catch, the more likely it was they could get it.

Mos Def.

If anyone was disrespected during the week leading up to the game, it was EWU.

When Coach Best stated in an interview "Maine is a confident bunch" I knew he was feeling very "leave no doubt". Nuisance is important. If Coach Best had said "Maine is playing with confidence" this might have been a contest. Glad he understood their 32 year old coach needed a little more seasoning.

Go Eags

On another site the Maine "black hole" defense was referred to as the GAPING hole!

Ouch, that's a tough look. Hate it when a nickname backfires like that. Better luck with their next one.

So when does NDSU lead you guys to the slaughter?
Really?? Really? The butt kicking we gave you and you seriously come back and talk Crap? Just go fishing already! Your off season began a couple weeks ago.
