The Calgary Stampeders have benched former Manure Pile QB Jake Maier (for whom they traded away former EWU QB Bo Levi Mitchell), and moved up Logan Bonner (UT State). The Stampeders are 4-7 on the year; Maier is 231-368-2,921-15 TD-11 INT.

Meanwhile, Calgary will face an Edmonton Elks team for the second straight week with a resurgent Hornet McLeod Bethel-Thompson leading the charge despite the apparent return of Tre Ford, for whom MBT was benched about a month ago but went down to injury after starting only two games. MBT put up a career-high 486 passing yards against the Stampeders last week.
