For example, do you recall the music (now in memory) used by The Multnomah Kennel Club (now defunct)?
Was it not the theme from The Bridge on the River Kwai (a.k.a. Colonel Bogey March) ... ? They whistled it in unison.

What was the music from the old J.K. Gill commercials? Ramblin' Rod Show ? Mount Hood Festival of Jazz commercials? PSU can serve as the respository to collect and store all the "Portland Memory Music." Such news would like cause recordings of this old music to come out of the woodwork for the purpose of its preservation, whatever such original music would be deemed worthy for preservation.

Selections could even be called upon to be played (strategically) at events to create that unique Portland feeling. Let's endear ourselves to Portland.

I was a lead out for a season out there at MKC during high school, and yes, that was the tune that they played for each race. I believe it was five minutes to post when the music would start.
