Marcus has left the basketball team to pursue other options. I think he is leaving school and transfering to a DII in Texas somewhere. I hope that everything works out for him. We really didn't get much of a chance to see him play, but for those mins that we did see him, he made the most of it. He was a good defender, and will be missed. Good Luck Marcus...Thanks for coming to Weber.

With his departure that definitely shortens the bench a bit. Its too bad that Lindsey Hughey isn't going to be here till next fall. Lindsey is playing out of his head right now and is a 2. The biggest problems for this team do not stem from Marcus, but from the lack of floor leadership. Without Marcus I think we might start seeing Bullinger or Hansen play the 3 more, Davis will get more mins, Lillard might be playing the 2 more, which might bring Benson and Cottle off the bench (2 or 3 more mins a game) to give McCoy and Lillard a rest. I really don't think that Bullinger should be playing the 4 or that Lillard should be playing the 1 right now (He will be a good point eventually, but the Kid needs his confidence and the best way to help him find that is to play him at his natural position). This move might even bring Ramos off the bench for a few extra mins a game, who knows. I think Weber needs to recruit a true PF and another C for next years team. I think Byron Fulton will be a PF and not a C... Weber needs another true C. Mahoney and Ramos are both PFs, and Bullinger is a 3... Morris is our only true C.

This actually might help the cats. It seemed to me that when Marcus and D-Will were on the court together the offense was stagnated. They seemed to cancel each other out.

He shouldn't be a huge loss for the team. It will definitely open up the 2 and 3 positions more, meaning Lillard will play at the 2 more and, Bull and Hansen might get some time at the 3. What it means automatically is that Davis will get more mins. My biggest worry is the Point Guard right now, way to many TO's, hardly ay Assists, and little leadership. McCoy, needs to become more vocal and a better floor general.

Maybe Davis should get some time playing the 2... Lillard, Davis, Bullinger, Panos, and Morris... Might work?? Right...

Can Rahe have Panos and Morris on the floor for extended time? They are the only big bodies we have at the 4 and 5 spots. Will they clog the middle?

They do it in Logan with Wilkinson and Wesley... Except that USU has a couple of guys that can come in off the bench. Weber does has Mahoney and Ramos. Bull doesn't match up well with the bigs..

It would be good if Morris could stay on the floor longer. I don't know if it would be good if Morris and Panos were both on the floor for defensive purposes. The teams Weber has played have all killed us from the perimeter. For us to find success, the team needs to limit teams outside shooting, and make them hit harder shots.
