Mascot Night

It's time once again for the annual Mascot Night at the Dee Events Center. Mascots from around the area will be in attendance for Weber State's final home game on Saturday, February 23 against Montana State at 7 p.m. Don't miss the opportunity to watch the mascots and cheer on the Wildcats as they make a push for the Big Sky Championship.

Oh I just noticed this last part about the schools site. I think what they meant was:

For the oldest most obsolete and rare news, scores, and stats about Wildcat athletics check out the all-new never updated Weber State athletics website: weberstatesports.com. Our best feature is the annoying pictures for our old articles that we can't keep up on. Also, notice how the pictures confuse you because we never have pictures from the game that the article is even about.

I heard the announcers on KLO-1430 talking about how the MSU game is Mascot Night, I don't know how many people listen to KLO routinely, but at least Mascot Night is getting some kind of press. Next basketball season we really need to talk to Marketing/Advertising and see what they can do as far as getting the word out.

So, what was up with Mascot Night, I was looking forward to seeing them play at half time. I saw many of them out on the floor shooting layups and getting warmed up for a game, but for some reason they were pushed off making way for a cheerleader routine I've seen about a hundred times. What is up with that! Wasn't a mascot half-time game advertised in the paper?

something happened. i was waiting to do the fazoli's shoot out thing in the tunnell when kim came up and was all mad about someone making the mascotts leave the court. Ben said he didn't know anything about it. so Kim went to yell at someone else.
I think they just had too much planned. they had the spirit team, the modern dancer chicks and the farr's jeweelry free throw shoot out. so by the time the mascotts were gonna play, it was time for the teams to take the court.

Sounds like Summer got her way again for some strange reason!! I don't care about the cheerleaders and their competition dance. When they sat in the best student seats against ISU the cheerleaders sitting in there just sat there. It was really pathetic. Isn't that the whole reason why they have scholarships, is to cheer? Oh well, whomever made the decision to have the dancers instead of the mascot game made a really poor decision. Now Weber will lose fans!
