McNeese State game

mcneese ranked should be the biggest ooc home game weber has had in at least the last 10 years. i know we have had cal poly and ndsu but back when those schools came our program wasn't very good nor expected to win. last time cp was here they weren't ranked and we did smoke them.

we really need a win. this team needs to see a W and we will all hav 0-4 in our minds if we dont win on sat.

anyone know if i can watch this online? or tv ?

ill be at the davis game and i really really am hoping that wont be our first win (yikes). tough schedule...can we start this yr 3-2? or 2-3?

An increased tailgating area will begin three hours prior to kickoff north of the stadium.

What? 3 hours???? :o

At our home games we aren't supposed to start before 12 noon on Friday in the reserved tailgating areas(some people do cheat) and are supposed to be gone from the reserved tailgate ares by 12 noon on Sunday. Can't get much cooking done in 3 hours. :ohno:

You guys need to come tailgate us whenever you make the return game of the home and home.

Here at WSU you can actually set up your own personal tailgate pretty much anytime on Friday afternoon if you really wanted, and definitely anytime on Saturday. the 3 hour thing is a school/local business sponsored tailgate area with a lot of free food and games for the kids. :thumb:

Okay, that's better then. When we went to South Dakota St. in 2008, they couldn't tailgate until 3 hours before and had to have everything taken down and picked up by game time. Wouldn't work down here.

tailgating rules dont exist at weber. yes we dont have a huge tailgating seen but the main reason is not a lot of drinking takes places so there are no issues for the school to need to make strict tailgating rules. you can do just about anything at weber except bring a keg which is against state law. so have fun and enjoy i wish i coudl be there. i miss tailgating in the north lot.

weber is 1-1 vs mcneese

weber W in 1990 in lake charles 27-7
mcneese W in 1992 in ogden 23-22

mcneese is 11-10 vs big sky, 4-2 vs suu, 3-3 vs um
weber is 1-3 vs southland (0-2 vs nichols st)

We do have a big tailgating scene here (I hope I don't sound like I'm bragging). And we do have some rules we have to follow. But most of those are pretty liberal. You can set up after noon on Friday and have to be gone by noon on Sunday is the main one. The others are little things like the number of vehicles allowed on one reserved tailgating spot, placement of generators, no load music after certain times on Friday and Saturday nights (people spend the night in the tailgate areas and would like to sleep), and other small things like that.

The reserved spots do make some money for the Athletic program and even though they have expanded them, there is a pretty long waiting list to get them.

If any of you guys come to Lake Charles on the return trip, plan to tailgate with the McNeese fans. We pride ourselves on being good hosts. Just ask any of the Montana or Montana St. fans that made it to Lake Charles during playoff games and tailgated with the McNeese fans. It is not just a game down here, it is a weekend party.

Looking forward to my trip to Odgen,
Doc

Would be a fun trip next season. Always wanted to visit Louisiana. I bet there is some good food made up at those tailgates.

Can we draw over 10K to this game? It only happened once last year (ISU game drew 11,297). I don't know why anyone wouldn't come when they can get in free and get a free t-shirt. That's like getting paid to come.

Tough to say. There is another game in the state that will start at about half time in our game that will definitely draw some fans away. If our game was earlier in the day though I would almost bet on it.

I'll be there with my 4 kids. That's 5. Only 9,995 people to go! Trying to see if I can father-in-law to come too. But, sadly, the big in-state game might be too much of a draw for him. I'll keep trying.

Can Weber stop the run? Whether they can or not may make the difference in this one. In two games McNeese has run the ball 74% of the time and averaged 290 yards of rushing per game.

If Morales and Pletcher are healthy I like our chances of stopping the run. Morales looked pretty good vs. BYU.
