this is what a cowboy fan said at there board about this game

Not to finish the home and home, but to start a new one.

You guys broke the contract on our home and home and sent us a check (not enough) in return.

Your AD asked to play again, we said, "come here first" and we uped the penalty clause in our contract for breaking the deal.

See ya'll in 07. In LCH

Its nice to point the fingers and say that we owe them money for backing out, but to play them last year was a very risky thing to do when it came down to traveling to LA and finding lodging for the entire team and staff. Because of Katrina when it came down to reserving lodging and airfare it would have cost us a fortune!! When trying to finding lodging the closest place was 100 miles away! It was worth the $300,000 that we made by not playing McNeese, nothing against them but just to many what if's and I don't know when it came down to transportation and lodging!!

I look forward to playing them this coming fall!!

I wish we would have played McNeese last season. PSU's record against the Southland Conference has been very good. We likely would have beaten them (especially if the game was played early when they were struggling) and made the playoffs.

I think this guy had it wrong. From what I have heard this is the second half of the home and home started in 2004. You guys have paid us some money twice to postpone the game when you had a chance to schedule a couple of nice I-A paydays, for which we don't blame you. Some the guys on our board don't have a clue about the scheduling.

If any of you guys make the trip down, we want you to come by and tailgate with us at our Geauxcowboys.com tailgating spot in the Westside Reserved Tailgating Area.

WOW! that's pretty cool, we usually have fans go down everywhere, alot on this board also

I saw your pics, pretty good, RobPics a member here does the same, his pics are in a lower category here at PSFF

Very respectable McNeese72. Yeah unfortunately its business when it comes to scheduling football games because it is the sport that makes money.

I really would love to make the trip when we play you guys however it sucks that we do not have it announced yet so that fans who are interested can start to make the reservations for flights and hotels.

You guys look to have another promissing season this fall. Its got to feel nice that you made the playoffs and had a chance to make a run at a national title.

I think the matchup between us is a high priority for our AD to disovle the hole situation of scheduling. I would like to see you guys travel to the NW to play us at home in 08 to polish off the home and home schedule.

Hey I think McNees72 will like this. This is just a look at what the Cowboys stadium looks like.

Actually that's the home field for Northwestern (La.) State.

Correct! Our Band (it's a little small right now) traveled to Northwestern St. and that was their halftime show there.

Our stadium looks different from that and the crowd is usually bigger than the Northwestern St. crowds.

The all important Frosty Factory (adult frozen beverage bar) right across the street from the Westside Reserved Tailgating areas. We were glad to see it back open this past season. The second floor was blown off by Hurricane Rita and it had to be rebuilt. It wasn't open for the two home games were played in 2005.

This what the Frosty Factory looked like two months after Rita came through.
