McNeese State Thread

Smith looks like a beast
Smith may not be big, but he is freaking quick and fast and has a motor that won't quit. I was most impressed with our receivers and our tightends yesterday. And the offense looks to be expanded.

I hope Brian Smith, PSU's o-line coach, knows how to coach with talent because PSU surely has it on the O-line. 1-2XAA, 2-2XAC players with good depth that will make them a good unit for years to come. How does everyone think this matchup between PSU oline vs. McSU dline will look?

question to McNeese fans

about your Head Coach, does this look right?

McNeese State Head Coach: Matt Viator (7-3) 2nd Year
Experience: assistant Sam Houston High '86-88
head coach Vinton High '89-90
head coach Jennings High '91-94
head coach Sulphur High '95-98
McNeese State '98-present

That is correct sir. He was OC before he bacame head coach.

Welcome sharkey1957

I thought it was correct, he sure knows how to win

Matt grew up around McNeese Football, his dad was a former McNeese Assistant and he has been best of friends with most McNeese Coaches his entire professional career. He's been at McNeese for about 8 years now, so he knows the ropes.

Funny you should bring the AD subject up...

One of you Asst. AD's is a finalist for our new AD job. Seems like a good candidate...

Interesting post over at geauxcowboys.com by LONGTIMEPOKE

Surely you guys aren't all that hopped up about getting Glanville as your head coach. I thought he was a below average NFL coach. He sucked more as a television announcer on the pregame shows, and he was defensive coordinator at Hawaii, who had one of the poorest defenses in the country. They can't stop anybody from scoring on them. All they wanted is the ball back.

He showed he has a heavy lack of knowledge about our situation, Lets prove america next year that this was a great hire.

ugh...still 154 days to go

You guys do realize that the McNeese team you will be playing isn't the team you played in 2004. We absolutely sucked in 2004.

We are also better then our 2004 team

I'll be interested to see the pre-season top 25. It seems like both teams should be ranked this year.
