I think the unis look OK. But frankly, I'm just sick to death of WSU changing them every couple of years. I thought this stupid black-uniform fad was finally over. Guess I was wrong...

I am usually not a big fan of black uniforms. But I was just thinking the other day that we should bring back the legendary black uniforms of 99. I see a little resemblance in this years uni's.

Like Joe Cravens famous dance, no matter how many times I watch us beat UNC it never gets old.

Yikes!! I really need to get my eyes checked but it looked as if the new uniforms were a dark purple, with a lighter purple outline, then the final white outline. Are they really black.

dont get me started on college football uni's.....big time sign of weakness these last 3-4 yrs.

I was there recording interviews and the jerseys dont look too bad in person. Hajek had a brace on it for most of the time and was saying the doctors want him off it as much as possible. Rahe also was talking that Joel has his license to shoot! :shocking:

Amen. The '99 unis were sic, from what I can tell/see these look somewhat plain. Add my vote to not particularly liking black or changing them too often.

Aside from that, one down (Jazz) and one to go (Weber); let's get this thing started!

Time to wake up!

Uni change is part of being a major basketball program. You can't stay the same. You can't go back, you have to go forward!

It's time to get with it! Funny to hear you guys talk about how it was in the 80's and 90's. The kids don't care about that! Uniforms will allow the kids to develop their legacy!

What's next? You guys want to bring back Bell Bottoms?

:agree: I like to see new uniforms every few years or even every year. I like the black and as long as this team dominates the Big sky I couldn't care less what they wear.

Yes, long, stripped bell-bottom warm-up pants, to go with Afro dues and red-white-and-blue basketballs. Bring back the ABA.

Hmmmm the Afros and ABA throwback sounds cool. The retro look could be a great trendsetter.

Let's face it. Adidas , Nike and Under Armor are trying to be the dominant brand in sports. New Unis are something the kids are excited about and Nike has changed the look of Oregon college sports and Under Armor has done the same to Maryland.

It's a new world where athletic brand is actually a part of the college selection process for players. Are they an Adidas or Nike school? Sounds crazy, but it's getting to be style over substance. Coach Rahe is all about substance, but smart enough to understand how kids think today.

Change the Unis..... Always update the look to keep the video generation happy! As long as they wear it with pride and represent the Wildcats! That's what I'm talking about!

You numb nut MidMajor, we just had black uni's 3 yrs ago. :bad: :thumb: wearing your school colors never goes out of style.

Grandpa......

3 years is a longtime ago. Black, along with ultra bright colors are the in colors right now.

Put back in your teeth and read more about what us younger people like.

Later T-Rex!

"Uniforms will allow the kids to develop their legacy!" :ohno:
What a sad commentary right there. How about school pride, hard work, and a love & respect of the game for a legacy? I'm not sure what's funny about the 80's and 90's, there were some of the greatest teams and successes during those decades-- you know, like going to the dance and even winning a game. Not to mention, especially back in the 80's the DEC was filled on a regular basis and without manufacturing attendance numbers as happens a little bit currently. I would hope players, coaches, and administrators alike would not only learn from the past but strive to emulate it.
