Mens team has a pivotal two nights coming up. Two losses and that sixth seed for the conference tourney just may disappear. Apart from the last 10 minutes of the U of Montana game, they've had a good stretch of basketball recently and were right in it on the road with a good Northern Colorado team last weekend. Hoping for the best but it looks to be a tough road ahead.

Womens team has been fun to watch this season... I've taken more time to watch games on bigsktytv.org and am thrilled that Fox Sports AZ has stepped up and given the Lady Jacks some live or delayed tv coverage. They have some good young talent. They have their moments when the effort may lack a bit but they generally play pretty hard. They're close to being able to be in the thick of the conference but it doesn't seem to quite be there yet. Same as above.....hoping for the best.

Regardless of how the rest of the season goes for the Jacks this is the happiest time of the year sports-wise in my book with conference tourneys and the NCAA's coming up over the next few weeks.

The men are missing Eric Platt. He was a leathal weapon from 3 point land. Without him they're not complete. I don't see them doing anything this year.

The ladies disappoint me. They have so many weapons, but rarely have them all playing well. They make silly mistakes that end up costing them the game. Turnovers are getting old and their free throw shooting is not helping them. Stephens Jenkins has not played well since since that PSU win. Tiffany Amos needs to be more aggressive offensively on the inside. She has a big body and should be able to move people out of the way, but usually she just settles for a fade away jumper which is frustrating to watch. Amy Patton is good but I would like to see her drive more and not settle for the 3 or a jumper like she has been doing recently. She's too talented to not be going inside and punishing people with her drives. It drives me crazy to see this team at the bottom of the conference when I know they are capable of beating even the best teams in the conference as they proved against PSU. I think they're just too young and don't yet realize what they're capable of. As a fan that's frustrating.
