I get your point, but these uni's are not similar.

Yeah, I guess they aren't, but there are others that are very similar to our new ones this year, last year, and the year before...Anyway, back to the original topic of this thread.

One thing they mentioned in the pre-game show is that in 2011-2013 they had worn a uniform that honored a branch of service of the military in each year. As someone who's still on active duty, I thought that was pretty cool. Also thought this year's were absolutely bad ass. Great job by our equipment manager and all involved getting these done. :thumb:

EWURanger,
I am so proud of how our Team represents the Military. Maybe I am bias, maybe it is because of my 20 yrs 23 days I served over 40 years ago. Thank you for your service. I continue to say it was the best move at the age of 19 when I joined the Air Force. Coming from Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands, to Miami, Florida, in the 50s, wasn't the best time to be in Miami ;) ;) ;) . Didn't like people telling me where I could and could not go, or who I could associate with, sitting in the back of busses, etc. I learned a lot in the Military. Learned to type, understand Moss Code, Police Tech. After 9 months of Radio Tech, I became an "Airborne Radio Operator, stationed in Oslo, Norway. 68 of us started the school, at Keesler Air Force, Biloxi, Miss, 9 of us graduated. p.s. I was the only White Dude in the class ;) ;) ;) ;) ;). So much for the laughs. I Saw some individuals wearing the Jerseys at the game, and again they looked very sharp. What I am worried about at next week game is the Altitude. I think it is a three hour ride after the team get off the plane, if they fly commercial. Again thank you for your service, and all other Military Personnel and Families. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic E. Wallace

I got #70, bought it outright. I kept getting out bid on 13 (My favorite number) so I just bought a random one...couldnt find 69.

Hi Vic;
Congratulations on creating a good life and a great family. Isn't the US the greatest country in the history of mankind? You would know that better than me ;) .
Thank you for your service!

Yes, thank you, Ranger, Vic, Hannah and the rest who have served. :notworthy:

So the boy first puts a bid down on Aaron Neary's jersey because Aaron was his youth basketball coach a couple of years ago. Then he realizes it will be too big so he takes it upon himself to also bid on Nzuzi Webster's (he's a big spender with dad's money :ohno: ). Luckily, Neary's goes for the $500 as the family steps in, but my son got into a bidding war at haltime and got the final bid for Webster's in @ $250. :thumb:

Leaving the parking lot after the game I saw Neary getting into his car and stopped by to congratulate him and let him know the boy was trying to get his jersey but got out-bid. Neary went to his car and grabbed a poster of himself from the SUU game and autographed it.

Win, win.

Vic: Thank you for your service to our country, thank you for your wonderful family and thank you for all the time (and money) you have given EWU over the years. Regarding the altitude this weekend, I spoke with Chris Scott Satuday night at the Wenatchee High School Football Hall of Fame banquet and I asked him about the altitude. He quickly said it meant nothing, it won't be a factor Saturday and never has been. That is the attitude of a winner, another reason why Chris made the inaugural WHS HoF class and why he helped us finish 12-2 in 1997 and make the NCAA semi-finals. I had the same concern as you but after hearing the big fellow dismiss it I am feeling better about Saturday.

Awesome the game is on ROOT, I may be in Pullman watching it since the Cougs play at 3:00 pm might make the trip with some friends. Of course I will be late for kickoff as our game starts at 12:40.

Hope to see you at the Coaches Show tonight. Go Eagles.

JoinTheEAF,
I remembered when Chris and his brother Jason played for EWU FB. I am a very good friend of their dad, and family, he was a State Patrol for many years and is now retired. Jason, his wife and three kids sits in front of us at the games. Jason wife used to be Jake Miller Teacher many moons ago, Jake remembered her. Hope the Scott family I am talking about are the ones we both knows. Jason lives on Betz Road, about 200 yards South of I-90. We will be at Quest tonight, and thank all for the kind words. Jordan West is coming into his own, and we have three other Quarter Backs standing in the wings. Saw Reilly Hennessey, from Camas High, on the side lines at SUU helping with signaling in plays to Jordan West. Kudos to Connor Richardson for his 1st College Touch Down, have always been impressed with him and others. Take care. Vic Wallace

Vic I know Jason too, he used to be my neighbor, great guy. This is the Scott family from the Wenatchee area, they are in the fruit and wine business. Chris was a d-lineman on the 1997 team. This makes me think of the hundreds of Eagles (maybe thousands) you've met and helped out over the years. That's one of the many reasons you are in the Eagle Hall of Fame. Take care my friend.

Called Judy Crabb this AM to see if any uniforms went unclaimed, nada everyone was sold. Id love to get an authentic uniform to put up in the man cave, are auctions the only opportunity to get them?

WOW that is crazy! Boy how times have changed! two years ago there was a list of over 20 numbers I could choose from.
Great problem to have speaks volumes of our success and the design this year.

Just curious if anyone got one? who's did you get and what did you pay?

I got my favorite player's number.....#4. Paid $310, having to outbid someone that was just bidding to raise it up...couldn't figure, even when I told her it was my kid's jersey. For a good cause!!!

Here's to all of our men and women who have served! :thumb: :thumb:

Loloman

My wife got #43 to match mine from last year's.
This one cost 250. Up 100 from last year. I might be out of luck by the time the boys a senior. Lol
