Check out the headlines on this one! What does he not understand about the statement:

“Playing (White) immediately would be like
taking a calculus class without looking at the calculus book,” PSU
coach Tim Walsh said in a press release. “This is Sawyer Smith's team,
and when he is healthy, he will start for us. As for now, Rob Freeman
will start if Sawyer can't play, and Brian will support them in a
backup role as needed.”

That's funny. Whoever wrote that headline clearly didn't read the article.
 
Editors usually write headlines, not the writers. (At least that's what the sports editor hack in Boise tells us periodically)

That happens a lot.
