MLB

That reminds me. Do people in Portland primary root for the Mariners, the Giants, or for the the A's?

We are forced to root for the Mariners by the local media. Many people in Portland have other teams they root for, but the Mariners get the media coverage, and retailers assume (wrongly) that everybody in Portland is a Mariners fan.

Personally, I don't follow baseball.

Definately the Mariners.

I'm a big baseball fan and usually catch the majority of the games on tv or radio, plus I go up for about three or four games per season.

I find myself to be a Mariner's apologist. /users/31/07/37/smiles/88837.gif I used to really follow them when they had Griffey, A-Rod, Big-Unit, Edgar, Buhner, Dan Wilson, Joey Cora and when they left, I left

. But there's still hope that I could turn on the tube catch an M's game and find myself rooting them on in the same passionate spirits I used to. That is unless Portland gets their own team, then things would change. Anymore more all I would really watch are the All-Star game and the World Series granted I do like the rivalries in baseball (see Yanks and BoSox) and view them to be as good as any other sport has. That is except for the NFL's NFC EAST which is the most competitive division in football history.

I've been following the Angels for years religously, we are looking good this year though early injuries are hurting us

The mariners stuck their necks out and got the big players they just haven't performed(i.e Adrian Beltre)
