• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Monmouth University on Thursday...really?

Can't remember if there was an explanation why we have our first game on a Thursday?
Have we ever ever had a Thursday game?
Seriously?

We've played lots of Thursday games, but always on the road. We've only played a couple weekday games- I think one Thursday and one Friday- at home before. It's been a long while, though... I don't think it's happened since the Wulff years.

As for why, I'd guess it's just to shake things up. Playing on a Saturday on Labor Day weekend probably isn't that appealing. I think it's a clever thing to do while school isn't in session. UW, Wazzu, and Idaho all open on Saturday, so it allows for a little extra media coverage and is the opening kickoff for regional football.

I like it. Gives them someone else to hit and a 10 day period to rest and fix 1st game issues even with the holiday in the middle. Guess we'll see. Who's the starter at QB? Kekoa? After a quick perusal of the roster, Eags lost several WR who should have made an impact this year IMO.... Oh well. 48 TE's and 72 Safeties though, so we good. ;-)
