Had UM not given us those two turnovers in the first half, I think this one would have been a little bit more lopsided.
- I know we were banged up in the backfield, but UM really took any sort of running game out of play yesterday. 1.5 yards per carry aren’t going to chalk up too many conference wins. They also really contained Alexander in the second half and that constant blitzing really didn’t give him much time at all.
- Alexander is probably hurting pretty good today. He took quite a few big hits and I was surprised to see him back out there on that big hit when he was releasing the ball and his helmet came off. Plus he was sick as a dog on top of that. Tough kid.
- Our defense looked good at times against a good team. Couple total lapses with that first TD run around the right side where I don’t even think he was barely touched and then that second TD pass where it looked like our two defenders both hit the receiver, but did nothing to wrap up and ended up resulting in a easy jog into the end zone.
- Why can’t we have our logo at midfield for every home game?
- Is it me or was our kickoff and punt return coverage pretty bad yesterday? Seems like UM was always getting themselves into some good field position.
- What was the commotion down in section 8 in the second half? Another fight between Griz and Vik fans?
- Well, I was hoping for a win, but I’ll give UM credit, they are a top ten football team. Eh, at least it was a beautiful day in the northwest to enjoy a football game on a Saturday…
