Veteran coach Bill Evans will join the University of Montana men's basketball program as an assistant coach.
Evans has coached for 30 years, most recently as the head man at his alma mater, Southern Utah, where he led the men's program from 1992 to 2007.
Prior to coaching at SUU, Evans had stints at the University of Alaska-Anchorage (1986-90), as an assistant at SUU (1985-86), at Idaho State as a graduate assistant (1984-85), and as a volunteer assistant coach at Southern Utah (1983-84).
